Interesting, but still an awful, sink-hole of a game where pretty much everything you do is completely pointless and offers no real reward for your time spent doing it.
It wouldnt be so bad if it didn't artificially extend the amount of time it takes you to perform what should be very simple tasks.
Bond with your horse, it'll run faster, but not noticeably so, but you never really race horses, and even when you do the speed of your horse is irrelevant. Eventually you'll unlock the horsey super power of, wait for it, strafing (!) which literally serves no purpose whatsoever.
I could have wasted my time doing hunting challenges, catching fish etc and got some extra clothing items with a little bit of a stats boost, but why would I bother? There's no challenge to the actual gameplay that requires you to boost anything.
I could have played a few hands of cards but why would I bother when the interface is an unusable piece of poo? To get money? No need, money is so easy to come by that anything useful you might actually earn from doing something on the side you can just go out and buy anyway!
I collected all the cigarette cards (well, I bought a thousand packets from the shop, like buying a full box of panini stickers) - the reward? A tonic to permanently boost my stamina, which I'd already boosted to full by playing the bloody game for 50 hours.
Oh and how many times when the shooting starts on a mission did I go to get my favourite gun but the game had automatically changed my load out? Every time!
It's just an utterly painful waste of time and effort, and the story ain't that bloody good that it makes up for it.
    Appalling, overrated piece of poo.

Last of Us is free this month on PS+ so you may as well just get that.
PS have also updated their PS Now to be more like Game Pass on xbox, they've put all sorts like Uncharted and God of War on there as a result - and reduced the price.

I find Pes 20 on the Demo awful online, its weird becuase the graphics are great and certain things like the way the players receive the ball is better than Fifa and the passing has less assistance which is good but running down the wings and crossing and doing cut backs is far too overpowered , keepers cant save 1vs1s , and there are loads of  stupid things that happen that lead to goals,. I might just be that I am so used to Fifa as it is a game I have played a lot for years, but even though Fifa 19 was the worst Fifa I ever played I would still rather play that than the Pes demo. Offline It was decent but that is becuase unless you put it on a hard difficulty the AI are awful and even then they are predictable, so it was nice and causal but it would quickly get boring. Fifa 20 is supposed to be a lot better than 19 but I will believe that when I actually play it.

Happy about it. No longer can Fifa fan boys bury their heads thinking it’s a better game than PES because it’s got all the badges. Gameplay is so much better on PES right now and EA’s financial muscle killing them.

Need more lighthearted stuff including the players, that's how we get to know them more, rather than Colin's interviews where he doesn't actually pose a question. The videos last year (not done by RamsTV) with Waghorn, Nugent etc were brilliant and far more insightful into the personality of our squad than most other things we get to see.

It was free a couple of years ago, not last year. But that was "tech test" almost, just to see how it worked.

The problem is full AAA releases carving up games, withholding content, inbalancing the game just to get money from microtransactions. EA are the biggest scumbags of the lot. Absolutely destroying that Star Wars game to the point where they had to patch the progression system once they disabled the microtransactions after the huge backlash - just proving the point that they were completely game altering to a fault. Yet they don't care, because they still make billions because they invented ultimate team game modes on every sports franchise they own the monopoly on.
Other games have had microtransactions bolted onto the game after the fact due to greedy producers, again, ruining the entire game. Biggest example of this would be the newest Deus Ex, which Square Enix ruined by doing this. But they're not the only ones.
If you pay for a full price game, you should get the full game. This is just the latest iteration of the games industry finding another way to get all of the money, rather than just a boat load of it. They have tried before with online passes required to try and kill the preowned market, massive pre-order bonus culture to entice presales to pay for the game before it's even made and alike.
I don't have any issue with free games, like League of Legends, or cheap games like Rocket League making their money through skins and other cosmetics - which have no effect on the balance of the game. Where Rocket League and League of Legends does it right, is that there's a very limited number of items you can possibly get in any given Rocket League box, of which you can trade afterwards anyway, and League of Legends lets you buy the actual item you want. Even then, it's not ideal, but at least these games don't charge you £45 to play it to begin with, before letting you know you've only got a small portion of the game, and you have to grind an ungodly amount of time to do the cool stuff with shelling out yet more money.
The Asian market has at least taken the step of making games disclose the odds on each item in loot boxes, it's a small step, but it's showing how it is being now thought of as gambling.
Games like Overwatch are always given an easy ride on this, but they shouldn't be. Mainly because it's Activision, and they tried to patent a matchmaking system which would literally put people without any DLC items against people with them, to make them want to buy them. They have loot boxes with a huge number of items in them, with such tiny odds, and it very much preys on the haves and have nots, and specifically a younger audience.

Download the option files and you have a fully licenced Pes anyway.
Which is better than fifa. Well, offline gameplay anyway.

Well I certainly wont be buying FIFA, or any EA game going forwards unless this practice changes (which it wont). Looks like I will be a PES man once again.

Enjoying the ridiculous amount of pay to win, microtransactions they've added in? Absolute joke.

If anyone's getting offended of being facepalmed then:
    a) stop saying stupid things to warrant a facepalm
    b) ban them for being so sensitive.
