I drink far more beer these days, probably more than I do cider. Only basic stuff: Carling, Peroni, Bud, Corona, etc. I don’t mind an IPA either, though it’s usually out of my price range.

Anyway, my lovely mum thought she was doing me a favour when she bought me a bottle of ‘cider’ from a shop in Derbyshire the other week. Turns out it’s some weird stout. I’ve never tried stout before and I’m almost certainly going to hate it, but I might as well try.

Stout is so good. As a younger lad, used to just look so off putting, nowadays, love a draft Stout. You should take a trip to Brews of the World in Burton, have some weird and wonderful stuff on in there that’ll broaden your horizons.

    Yes mate

Not sure what your set up in the cellar is there so don’t know if this applies to each tap but I had a very iffy pint of Coors a couple of weeks back. Tasted metallic, which probably means the line is knackered. Should probably call us to look

My pub orders from Coors, does that mean you can sort some freebies out for us? ?

Not quite, but if you are having any dispense problems or changing products over etc I can get it done a bit sooner more than likely!

Ah sorry, it was in a cafe on the a1 past Alnwick so that is mostly likely the case. Ill throw the glass back at them next time and shout ‘THIS IS FOR SRG!’

Thanks for the knowledge, I’ll know for next time it happens. Which brewery is it, if you don’t mind me asking?

Molson Coors. So yes we have Carling, but we do have a lot of better stuff too!

  5. @TuffLuff wasn't actually joking. I work for a brewery in dispense side of things, and that is literally what that is. When bubbles cling to the side like that, it means the glass is dirty, usually greasy. Likely caused by washing them with things like coffee cups instead of in a glass washer with other glasses. Means your pint will go flat very quickly, and it's just a bit unappetising.

I'm sure it's something we could explore, but I'm not sure how useful it would be in practice.

As I've mentioned before, commentating for TV is very different to a radio commentary. I'm not really describing, just trying to add to the pictures, so I'm not sure you'd get much of a picture of the action ?‍♂️

I know when there was an issue with Radio Derby's feed earlier in the season one chap on Twitter was irate about my lack of description.

You could just say "we're attacking" or "we're defending" and it would be better than RD.

Pathetically low number. Works out at about £2500 a game. Or another way to look at it, around 80 fans buying match tickets. Wow.

I mean they're in league one with a capacity of less than 13,000... so not sure what you expected.

I work in audio post production for TV, I contacted them very nicely about all the audio issues, no reply

Here’s me thinking you were a pretty poor wide midfielder a number of years ago

Came on here to say exactly the same.

Can we ditch the cheesy music please?  Too loud and distracting.

    Thanks!

Don’t need it in an interview, and we don’t need it in the other clips we get either. It’s always some cheap music from a library they’ve paid the rights to use too, it’s never any actual song

    Interesting to see that Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order has broken sales records;

Hopefully EA will learn to stop selling games built purely around loot boxes and other DLC now and just give us decent games we can buy,  play and enjoy.

Not a Star Wars fan whatsoever, but they only made it in this fashion as a response to the horrendous Battlefront 2 reaction they got... mainly from Disney. They had to appease them. They’re going to learn absolutely nothing.

Can you set up 2 factor authentication? If I'm having concerns with something like that I usually take that step - tends to end it.

already have. get random text messages alot - but the reason I think they're bogus is my 2-factor is set up to email me if there's a sign in, not text me. there's no trace on the account of any redemption of a code or payment for origin, so maybe it's just some automatic thing they're giving people? no idea.

  12. Weirdly, having replied to this this morning. I have now had an email from EA about redeeming Origin for 1 month (not recurring). I logged into the site, and sure enough, it had been redeemed. Weird thing about it all is I had not long changed the password, and it shows recent log ins and there was nothing. So i've changed the password again, but I have no clue what's going on with it.

Yesterday, I had an email from EA about a log in to my account from an unknown device. If it wasn't me, should change my password etc. There was no link within the email, so presume it wasn't a scam.

Thing is, I haven't used it for at least 5 years, and the PS3 I used is buried in a box somewhere in the attic I think.

If someone has logged in on that account, surely the payment cards would be out of date now, so they'd be unlikely to be able to buy anything?

Presume all I can do is ignore the email?

I get texts all the time from "EA" with codes in Russian about resetting my account

I get your point but I absolutely am - I'm no WWE fan but I'm struggling to name one black wrestler. Of course, I have no doubt there are plenty - maybe a few belt holders - and I am not saying anyone is racist but I'm just saying WWE is a (largely) white (largely) man's sport. They're playing to their audience.

Booker T with Stevie Ray (tag team in the Harlem Heat), Cryme Tyme (Shad and JTG), Farooq, Kofi Kingston, Mark Henry, D Lo Brown, Viscera, R Truth, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, Xavier Woods, Titus O'Neil, The Godfather. Countless more if you want to move off solely black.

Which is a pretty accurate representation of 19th Century New Orleans (at least the parts that existed, the French Quarter and the Garden District), so extra bit of interest for me (and the New Orleanians I play it with). The horse posts you hitch your horses to in-game are still there in the city.

My friend is also a tour guide over there and took me on a cemetery tour a few years back; the cemetery in the game appears to be 1:1 in layout to the main one in the city. Really cool. One of the more interesting cemetery styles in the world, what with everything needing to be kept above ground.

You should try the latest Mafia game then.

    RDR2 is a technical masterpiece.

Just because it’s graphically beautiful, well written, realistic etc etc doesn’t mean it isn’t a hell of a chore to play.
