Nice to see some black boots, the other night against Cardiff of the 22 players on the pitch only the Cardiff left back was wearing black boots, there was every colour of the spectrum being worn, it's just another changing face of football, the players even get an ego boost by trying to be different, only problem is that they are all looking the same, not like when Alan Hinton wore the original white boots, now he did stand out' the only one out of 22 to be different, he would certainly stand out in today's team and I don't mean for his boots (and before any smart ar*e says it not because he is 70 either !!)

Hi all, I have been taking my time getting to know you all first by working my way through a lot of the older posts before formally stepping out of the shadows,
I'm Phil born and bred and still living in Derby, 42 years old so I can say that Derby County have been champions of England twice in my lifetime but alas I was to young to remember it or see it, my dad took me to my first game when I was 7 and i will always remember going up the steps and stepping out into the Ley Stand, the noise and the buzz got me straight away,
I still so with my dad nowadays and we have season tickets in the west stand right on the front row and right on the first two seats next to the directors box so ideal for yelling ideas to Tom and the board, though often frowned upon and muttered about from our fellow library area members.
Didn't go to the last few games of last season as we lost my mum to a brain tumour and our hearts were not into football at that time.
Looking forward to a new season, we just seem to be getting somewhere now, I feel that losing Glick could be a backward step for the club, love him or hate him he has had some inatative ideas that have taken us forward in many aspects.
Any how I think that's enough about me, I look forward to taking part in more future postings and to remain entertained by you guys with some of the whitty comments on here cheers

Yes Gboro we certainly did as it will help Saturday afternoons go with a swing if we can have more can have more sh1te football to give us west stand centre hardcore something to fixate on and have a good fooking moaning session whilst wrapped up in our blankets on our padded seats in our padded and carpeted ultra clean (no profanities please) cells whilst sipping on our free tetleys (tea not bitter I hope) 'http://www.dcfcfans.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

Of course they hassle you, it is an all seater stadium, sit down, relax, slap your thigh in time to a chant.
Want to wave a flag? Not in front of me matey, I want to watch the game.
Want to bang on the back of the stand? It's not really designed to take that sort of punishment, I can understand the club getting upset about that - get a drum!!!
Want a pint in view of the pitch - well for that you have got the previous generations to thank for that one. I too would like to take a pint to my seat rather than a bottle of water.
Want to swear - don't just think of the children, think of everyone else who doesn't particularly want some yob effing and blinding in his/her ear.
Want to call the opposition fans nobheads over the segregation - It is obviously because of the sort of behaviour you describe why there is segregation up there. Would you be brave enough to abuse them if it wasn't there?

Just giving you the opposite view which probably makes up a huge percentage of the attendance as opposed to those who want to do what you described.

Personally, I think the priorities are spot on - I might even take my slippers to the game so I don't get the carpet dirty.
