Tyler Durden got a reaction from RamuelLJackson in The Administration Thread
Who's to say that we wouldn't have played him totally out of position or not played him at all or totally crushed his confidence?
Just because he went to Brentford for 3 years then was sold for a 25 million profit doesn't mean the same outcome if we had signed him.

Morris could have flogged the club if he'd wanted to avoid all of this but like anything the price had to be right. And it was Morris who was setting the price.
So instead of getting something back for the club for himself he's now created this purgatory for the fans so in effect he's been the architect of a lose lose scenario.
Another shrewd business decision.

I was giving you my feelings. Just because the alternative is untenable doesn't make the prospect of Kirchner buying the club any more appealing.

You never know we could have the points deduction applied with us still in the Championship next season

You are probably right, if Rowett had paid what Exeter were asking for him. Rowettball would have had him playing holding midfield player.

Time to change the lyrics, and make it more topical and relevant to our situation.
I won't try and circumvent the swear filter, but I'm sure you'll get the drift if you see this topic before it disappears!
Mel Morris is a banker,
He wears a bankers hat,
He said he loved our Derby,
But he's a ducking twit.
He said that he would sell us,
And wanted just a pound,
But he's a lying bar steward,
And took away our ground.

That infers Kirchner is paying top dollar for us, my understanding is that he's not offering enough to satisfy the creditors 25p in the pound rule so we'll be deducted another lot of points next season.

Tyler, you have been asking for weeks now why anyone would buy Derby, it's a question that makes little sense given the state of football in general.
It's madness, it is and there is no rational explanation why anyone would currently want to own a football club outside of the Premier League.
However, I'm just happy to have someone that's willing to sign up to losing money by the millions each year to satisfy my entertainment.
I have no doubts, we will drain his wallet and move on to the next rich person after a few years as the cycle continues until the government get a grip of the game.
I suspect, location, fanbase, history (no disrespect to Preston) and most importantly opportunity to create more revenue streams at a larger club would have seen him change his mind.
Rooney is a big name over in the states, a sponsorship lure by himself. That does create a somewhat untouchable manager that is always the danger, but so far it's not something we have to worry about.

I don't know if anyone else feels the same but am totally underwhelmed by the recent announcement of Kirchners new found interest in the club.
He just comes across as an immature tyre kicker with a reliance on communicating via the most horrible toxic and vile social media platform.
Still hasn't communicated why he's coming in for our club again after the bitter public war of words and after pissing Preston around at the same game.
Just have a really bad feeling about the whole thing.
