It's beeen a beautiful morning up here in Yorkshire. All you Rams fans heading up won't be disappointed (well not with the weather anyway ?).
Just a short train ride from Ilkley for me, so setting off shortly.
    Can't wait.
Start of a new era today. Hopefully a sustainable and successful one.
Then back to watch (on the TV) Derbyshire in the T20 quarter final later with a few beers.
Could be an excellent day all round!

Addingham Ram got a reaction from Premier ram in Louis Sibley - make or break season?
Could he appear to drift out of games because he is being played out of position.
In any team, players in the 'spine' (CB, CDM, CAM &CF) are more likely to be more involved. Players out wide appear to drift in and out of games as they match develops for many reasons.
Play him centrally, where he will get on the ball more, and he will have an impact.
Perhaps he should watch and learn off Jack Grealish (not that I'm a fan of his). Jack gets kicked at all the time, and has made that part of his game. He either beats his man, or gets a free kick. Either way, it is effective and gets the team on the front foot. The hard part is accepting that he will get kicked, and not reacting to it!

    My thoughts exactly.
He won't be on massive wages, so tie him down for more than just his current year, otherwise we risk him stepping up to the plate, then getting poached for little, if anything, at the end of the season.
I'm convinced he will come good, and I want that to happen with DCFC.

Very disappointed that Rams flag not on show today. First time in many years I haven't seen it here for the first day of a test match.

Have you never watched the same old movie again and again, and always found certain lines just as funny as the first time you heard them?
If you took all of the repeated puns / gifs out of this thread, it'd barely have reached 1500 pages.
    Carry on I say!

We might not appear to have much left, like you say, but somebody still wants to spend a huge amount of money buying us.
He is no mug, and whilst he is a fan, he will also understand the undoubted potential of this club, something that sets us apart from most other clubs outside the top half of the Premier League.
Once season tickets go on sale, and matchday tickets go on general release for the first game of the season, everybody else will see what a BIG club DCFC still is.
I for one can't wait for the season to start now.

I like the idea of a fixed percentage on any future sale, that cannot be bought out / traded etc., but I think it should go further and should include a fixed percentage of any loan fees.
I would imagine that the amount of money recouped by the big clubs through loan fees must be significant, and in many cases, the players are loaned out soon after being bought, so the input in terms of development etc. from the big clubs is minimal.
It's money for old rope, and the whole system stinks.
