Leeds Ram got a reaction from jimtastic56 in Run in to play offs...
We've got MK Dons (we should win) Portsmouth (outside hope of a playoff spot), Burton (who we struggle against) Exeter away (they sit in 11th) and Sheffield Wednesday. The only fixtures I really think we definitely should be picking up 3 points in are MK Dons and Bristol away given our current performances and form.
They've got Cambridge away, Accrington Stanley away, Bristol Rovers at home and Exeter at home with Barnsley away and Ipswich at home. They should win Cambridge, Accrington, and Bristol Rovers. I think on paper they've got an easier set of games.

I think we'll miss out to Peterborough as they've got an easier run-in. But as experience tells us that is no guide to whether they'll be successful or not. The biggest issues we've got are our own; our performances are below par and the players look tired. We look blunt in attack and leaky at the back. I think we'll miss out on the last day of the season unfortunately but next season would mean a relegation even if we did go up so maybe it's better to stay down and build some momentum next season.

The win was all that mattered today. It wasn't a vintage performance, and some defending made me think that we would have been punished if we were against a slightly better team. But the lads need some confidence to recover from what has been an absolutely terrible run of form with some atrocious performances to go alongside it.

Leeds Ram got a reaction from DanS1992 in Poll: what do you think of it so far? (Warne's tenure)
I said in his own words that is a failure... which is a direct quote from his in-depth interview with sky sports news. Your whole point is basically picking up on an imprecision in my writing- I meant to say that if we don't make the top 6, which I don't think we will, then that, in his own words, is a failure.

I'm not sure what there is to be really that positive about during his tenure so far? At this level, even in our financially crippled state, you'd expect a club of our size and stature to be in the playoffs. We've generally beaten the teams in the league's bottom half, where our players and our budgets represent a massive gulf between us and the opposition, but against the top half, we've been lacking under Warne. Basically, whenever it's close to a fair fight we really struggle. His ability to affect games or react to tactical tweaks from the opposition has really been lacking and that is uncomfortable and concerning to see.

There are mitigating circumstances for Warne. I didn't add these, as people have covered them before. This is not his squad, we do lack options in certain areas, and we don't really have players between the ages of 23-29, i.e., players coming into or at their peak. These have produced a set of circumstances where it'd be unreasonable to fire Warne besides simply the length of his contract. Warne is obviously going to be here next season, and if we improve with his batch of players, I'll be the first to be singing from the rooftops and will have no issue admitting I was wrong.
However, my gut tells me this job is simply too big for Warne. Maybe he is a Nathan Jones type of coach- very good in a small club where he can control everything and build a spirit from the tea boy upwards. This is harder to do at a bigger club, where expectations are naturally higher. His record at the championship level sucks, which was also a concern for me when we brought him in. I didn't understand the appointment then, and I don't much now.

I didn't want him to start with tbh. I felt Rosenior had done enough to earn more time (both with his start and the loyalty he'd shown the club) and then assess where we were. I'm not saying Rosenior would have done much better, as the away form remained a problem, but Warne has been pretty much how I expected. I actually think Warne's style has contributed to some of the problems we now see, Rosenior's possession-based game should have ensured less stress and strain on the older bodies. Whereas Warne's high-intensity, high-pressing game has burned them out and made us so easy to beat. We possess little tactical nous, no complex play patterns and little style besides 'working hard' and using the channels. It's fine to watch when we're winning but god it's depressing when we're getting beat week in week out.
His record against the top half is absolutely abysmal. There is no other way to put it; it's simply not good enough. I don't think we'll make the top 6; in his own words, that is a failure. Unfortunately, Clowes put him on a 4-year contract, so he should get another season, as i doubt we can afford another big payoff. Our league 1 adventure is quickly turning sour, and things need to change quickly.

Also, I want him to drop the stupid David Brent act.

Have you learnt nothing off B4??!!  Get her to come down here, buy her a ticket and put some more cash into coffers.  If she doesn’t want to go to the match bung her few quid to go shopping and treat her to a burger and a pint in the Standing Order later.  You travel up next Thursday evening when it’s a BH weekend, early start on Easter Monday morning and back for MK Dons.  Not enough lateral thinking 😂!!

Can't be there today as am on my way to see my gf in Edinburgh. But today is such a massive game- it could be the day we turn around this bad run of form. But if we slip out of the top 6 I am not sure I see us getting back in there tbh. Hopefully Warne has worked on how to actually attack teams and stop making basic defensive errors.

Just so utterly predictable tbh. Thought even though we were camped in their half in the first half we really struggled to make any breakthroughs going forward. They look uncoached and unpracticed in a style of play beyond 'press hard and high'. Our middle second half looked powder puff- there were a couple of instances in the first half when they broke through and looked dangerous. They capitalised on that in the second half as we tired slightly.

Defensively we made errors that were rightly punished and there seemed to be little chance of us changing the game once we went behind. Our record against the top half is so poor questions have to be asked at this point. The coaching looks non-existent, our transitions are so poor and we appear to have little to no pattern of play. Teams have rightfully worked out if they sit in, use their pace and have a structure they can beat us. Honestly don't expect the playoffs now.

The midfield in terms of creating actual chances were poor and few in number. How many times was the keeper tested in the first half? Yes, we dominated the possession and the territory but we created precious little. Both of things can be true at the same time.

how about listening to the player who the song is about.... he's been interviewed about it and said he likes it and it's Mcgoldrick's (another mixed race player) favourite song. Why not take their word for it and accept the South Stand sing it because it's a catchy tune and a bit of harmless fun
