Like a few others on here, I’m confused why anyone wouldn’t want a Supporters Board.
BAWT have been open about opposing the Supporters Board & I’d be interested to know exactly why that is – seems like they’re trying to deny Derby fans the right to representation. Furthermore, I’m extremely sceptical that any poll run by BAWT would be the right & proper channel to express fan views given that a) any fan can vote on a Twitter/X poll – including presumably Forest fans & b) as BAWT are opposed to the SB, the possibility of gerrymandering results can’t be discounted.
Attempts to canvas fan views should be conducted without slanted questions & divisive rhetoric on social media – the club did this exercise correctly in July by communicating the proposed structure & inviting questions & comments from all fans. Interesting also that we have a couple of new members on this thread expressing the BAWT view – strikes me as a propaganda exercise from that particular group.
As to the general principle of the Supporters Board, some of the proposed powers of the SB would have stopped the excesses of the Morris regime – specifically stopping the sale of Pride Park & having access to the accounts. These strike me as sensible & the fact the club are interested in moving forward with this should reassure those who are on the fence.

Just got in. Thank you all for an entertaining read on the way home.
Not as entertaining as the game, though.
I might just go to away games only for the rest of the season!

The most important thing tonight was a good performance, and that's exactly what we got. Good performance, good result. Hopefully if we can get a win at Cheltenham at the weekend we can go into the week off sat in the playoffs. Much more like it.

Aye, can it not descend into the usual binary chaos tonight please?! It was a good win, hopefully those who doubt Warne saw some of their concerns addressed tonight, those who back him can feel smug without rubbing it in and everyone in between too, then we can all just enjoy a great win for the Rams 🐏

If we do, it wouldn't surprise me if it cripples us for a season. I think Warne could get us promoted next season or even this season if we scrape into the playoffs but he's clearly not fit to manage in the division above.

I can see him taking us up next season even if not this one. I just have no faith in his coaching or tactical ability beyond that.

Oh no, I wasn't at the game. I was commenting more on the disparity of comments on this thread. I've seen other posts about all the chances we should have taken, then contrasting this with the poster who is now refusing to go to another Warne match.
I never actually listen to manager interviews really, so don't really have any thoughts on what Warne is like as a person, or the character that Warne may, or may not, become when interiewed. I know people take manager's comments very seriously though, it's just a part of the game I'm not that bothered about.

In fairness were you actually at the match? We looked in control but wouldn't say we deserved to win easily. We basically created nothing at all in the final third. I think a lot of fans are reaching the end of their tether with the crap performances and the showman interview after a lacklustre display.

2 wins from 13 at home. You've yet to even begin to explain that but of course that would ruin you're theory about Warne needing 'time' when he's already had more than a season

Genuinely at what point aren't we a work in progress? What points in this division would be unexpected? We've won 2 of the last 13 at home I believe with 11 goals scored. That's really not good enough. I think many fans are starting to have enough of the turgid Warne ball which is being served up.

I would have expected at least 10 points from the first 5 home games. Against Portsmouth and Oxford we were obviously second best, and i didn't think we did enough to win against Wigan either. That for me is the concerning thing. The performances have been almost uniformly appalling. We had 2 shots on target today and that wasn't because our finishing was dire and it was 'one of those days' it was because we created absolutely f*** all the entire game.
The pattern emerging from last season is that we can't win games or score goals at home. That rests with the bloke in charge who thinks we played really well today when almost everyone else can see it wasn't that good even if it was an improvement on the borderline shambolic start to the season we've made at home.

That came from a breakaway, and by the time he got near the box, Cambridge had got 3 defenders back, and the shot was blocked. Not a clear cut chance.

I didn't think Waghorn's was a clear-cut chance, but he should have got it on target and the same with Collins from what I could see. We hit the post from a corner in the first half yeah.
I thought Cambridge looked completely comfortable as we played in front of them offering only crosses into their area. They won almost every single one and we had no other ideas. Again, this is not a one-off but an increasing pattern at home where we struggle to look remotely dangerous or win games. If we want to play with crosses we need to be much quicker on the ball and far less static to make the space available for good chance to happen. Otherwise, like today, we'll keep not scoring.

On the one hand, we controlled the possession and the territory, which was good, and we ditched the 5 at the back. On the other hand we were so one dimensional and slow it was painful. Cambridge are well organised and have one of the better defensive records, I believe, but we made it so easy for them. Cross after cross going nowhere. Players taking 5-6 touches on the ball just passing it around with no urgency. The front line was so static offering no problems for their defense or anything different. It's a great formula for never scoring. It makes me wonder what do they do on the training ground all week as it doesn't seem like they do any movement, passing or tactical training of any kind.
We have now i think won just 2 of the last 13 at home scoring 11 in the process so this isn't a recent problem for us. The substitutes were too late to make an effect and should have been made 20 minutes earlier. I was bored by 60 minutes in and couldn't see how we'd find a way through. Just 2 shots on targets says it all really. I didn't boo but neither did I clap.
