    Just what do people expect?!
It'd be like us getting smashed a few times in a row by Real Madrid's u21s and demanding changes.
In all seriousness it does highlight how important a return to at least the Championship is for you. League One clubs just can't afford to keep up the funding required for decent academies, we found this in the 00s. The longer it goes on that you're down there and us and Leicester are in the top flight the more risk there is of good local talent going elsewhere.

My son is called Hector, but it wasn't even my idea. My Mrs suggested it and I thought I could go with that. She wised up for number two and my younger son wasn't called Charles George as I suggested.

I too named my eldest son after Charlie George but drew the line at adding George as a middle name, thought it a bit too much (well, the wife did).

" To Charlie George best wishes Charlie George"

My son is named Kevin after a certain Mr. Hector.
My son has sons named Archie and Horacio and a third son named Dylan Pride, our surname is Parkes so Dylan Pride Parkes is worthy of the award.
Archie is obviously after Archie Gemmill while Horacio is a nod to both Raich Carter and Horacio Carbonari.
My son married a Peruvian girl so was quite clever at sneaking Rams players and the ground into his kids names.

Back in the day before mobile phones my wife was in hospital giving birth to our second son. It was August 1991 and the first game of the season ( we drew at Sunderland 1-1). I was armed with money to ring all the family from the public phone box once he had been born.
He duly arrived at 3.40 in the afternoon just before half time. I went down to ring everyone to give them the news but decided to ring the club call line first. ( still remember the number 0898 121187). By the time I had finished I had used all my money before even ringing any of the family.
I pretended that all the public phones near the hospital had been vandalised when the family questioned why it was late in the evening when I rang everyone.
When my first son was born, October 1989, we were playing Cambridge in the League Cup ( we won 5-0). My wife was due at any time and against advice I went to the game and left her the phone number of the Baseball Ground so they could put out an announcement if there were  any developments.
We live in Sheffield and he arrived the next morning. I still get grief even now for going to the game. They still know nothing about the Sunderland game.

My mate was called Colin after Colin Todd and there were a few Kevin’s around at school too. I hope I was called after David Mackay but I doubt my mum thinks like that.
I suppose if there is an Igor around that would trump me.

So been to see Giovanni from Strictly's show in Cambridge tonight and found myself thinking one of the smokey lit backdrops looked like a sheep and wondered is that a sign we will win tomorrow especially when it was red lit. On mentioning this to Mr CBR I got "the look".
Have you had random moments when you have realised you are too DCFC obsessed?

Rhys Brailsford sent off for a second yellow second half.
Their sub scored the second in injury time just after he'd come on.
We looked better in defence with Harrison Solomon back but he visibly tired towards the end. If Max comes back next week we'll be stronger again.
The Chelsea lads were cup-tied today so we looked a bit toothless up front. But small steps in the right direction.
    Darren Robinson MOM for me.

Whoever operates scoreboard at Loughborough must be a Derby County fan. It says Notts Forest!
Bloomin' freezing here, though. 0 - 0 at half time.

Let's have a sea of black and white in the away end from scarfs flags from all earas held up with pride and let's us roar lads onto victory. And close that gap again on top 3 places and then top 2 places. We can still catch plymonth and shiffield wednesday. With a army of derby fans going on Saturday with over 5k going let's feel like 20k go down there.

I have absolutely no idea what Warne is on about there. Not a clue. He's mixed metaphors in a food processor there!

Since the time since Mel took over, you could probably argue that our 5-10 most succesful signings have been during the summer after relegation or the one before when about to go into admin.
Wildsmith, Houraine, NML and McGoldrick for starters.

In 1971-72 only 16 players were used, 3 of them, Tony Bailey, Steve Powell and Jim Walker made only 10 (6+4) appearances between them and Frank Wignall left for Mansfield town in November. So it was basically 12 players for the rest of the season which included 7 cup games.
