We have snippets...like for the last weeks of the season Warney had told the recruitment team to focus entirely on Championship quality players. Also that nothing is likely to occur much before July. 
Anyone getting tense should realise it'll be August before the squad is in place. Enjoy the Euros. Get on your holidays. Enjoy the garden.

One thing that consistently irritates me is how little fans talk of Lionel Pickering. Folks often talk about the great Jim Smith years (really our last glorious period) but they would never have happened without Lionel.
We also forget that Pride Park was also Lionel’s dream and vision - and he paid a good chunk of his own money to make it happen. In fact one really has to wonder why it wasn’t and isn’t called the Lionel Pickering Stadium.
Lionel in many ways reminds me of David Clowes albeit the latter is a more business-headed person. Lionel was a lovely man- maybe a bit gullible when he listened to everyone throwing their own advice and opinion in his ear at the pub……but a real Rams man.
Crikey, if there was one person who deserves a statue at Pride Park then it’s him.
(I would also like David Clowes to have the Club build a museum at the ground).

I see on the BBC that the yank who owns 45% of Crystal Palace, plus Lyon, Botofogo in Brazil and a Belgian club is selling his stake in Palace, and wanting to buy Everton...or a Championship club. No indication that there's any specific back-up Championship club in mind, let alone Derby.
Sounds like the sort of network that might open doors for whoever he takes over though. Maybe the sort of thing we need longer term...with all due respect to Mr Clowes, who has earnt the the right to pick our path whether he remains at the helm or sells or partners.
If he did end up going for a Champ club, being solvent, with our fan base and infrastructure, I'd think we'd be an option.

Reminds me of the Everton fan who once phoned 606 on 5 live and said: 
"we're a one man team, we just haven't signed him yet"

Assuming we get the signings we need to be competitive, the difference maker would be that striker with a sprinkle of extra class to turn tight games our way.

Fury staying upright when he was spark out on his feet was unreal instinct. The round before I thought Fury had got the measure of Usyk. Decision was right, but I reckon Fury learns from it, gets on the front foot and wins the rematch.

If they do end up banning headers in men's professional football that would the end for me. 

Heading the ball is the issue, not the clashes of heads, flailing elbows and things? Sure. 
For what it’s worth, just like the NFL, know the risks. Don’t break a fundamental part of the game. 

I heard the same at choir practice. Everyone was in tears. Some of his sermons were awe inspiring.

He’s had a great loan move and shown that his quality is not limited to youth football.
I think we should give him a chance to impress in pre-season and have him in the squad for the start of the season.
What do we have to lose? His confidence and appetite to impress will be through the roof.
He may take the opportunity and run with it…

The stickiness or otherwise of his attitude has only limited connection to the layman's interpretation of stickiness and is defined by the technical relationship between the demonstrable facts and the legislation as written vis a vis general attitudinous odour notwithstanding precedent as may be established in case history.

I'd be concerned if we were looking to start him as our main striker next year, but I think folks are being a bit harsh on him. Did well for us, IMO.

I don’t think for a minute he’s the future but how many of those 19 “appearances” were Cameos, last five mins, post injury etc etc. ? I am no stato but he’s always looked dangerous when on the pitch what little we saw of him. Hustle bustle pass with first touch, pass and move. Yes, Maybe league one, maybe over the hill ? Quite possibly, but the easy critiques with tweaked stats aren’t really valid are they.

My old man tells a story about the 3rd Div North promotion team. We'd won away and the opposition manager complained to Harry Storer that some of our lads had been 'clogging'. Storer asked for the names of our dirty players. Opposition manager asked if he was going to give them a bollocking. Storer replied "No, but I am bollocking the others".
