"
Former Derby County chairman Andy Appleby is not in talks with ex-Wolves owner Steve Morgan over a collaboration that would see them join forces over a takeover.
Reports over the weekend suggested the duo were contemplating teaming up to launch a joint bid for the club which has been in administration for the last nine months.
But sources have told Derbyshire Live that is not the case and Appleby is continuing to launch his own pursuit of a deal for the Rams..."

So, it looks like the whole first team squad have returned for pre-season training. Both of them.

I see Nixon is going on about the stadium plus bid again.
And involving them in paying June's wages as they'd eventually be part of the whole deal.
Nixon is exceling himself today in saying lots and saying nothing (trust me on that I'm an expert ? ? )!

So assuming we can get a deal over the line prior to the apocalypse, we will begin next season in League 1. With this in mind, why in God's name are folk suggesting that Lee isn't good enough or superfluous to requirements?
So much for getting behind the players and a united club, fans, players et al. It's not taken some long to revert to sneery cynicism and slagging off anyone whose agent spreads a bit of muck, has it!

I think its the "we will report...on receipt...." in future tense that has many worried as I read that as havent received and so havent reported. I suppose it could just be Q incompetence and the statement was drafted few days ago and its gone through people for approval and no-one updated!!

I think it's unfair that some fans are giving Lawrence stick over this. At the end of the day they're probably mates. We don't know why Kirchner's deal collapsed. He could be completely innocent and he's probably told Lawrence the truth.

Quote from Quantuma's letter:
"Now that Mr Kirchner’s bid has been withdrawn, we will again report to the EFL upon receipt of a bid that satisfies 1) or 2).
We are bound by confidentiality agreements and so we cannot release the identities of the parties who have come forward, nor can we release any detail in relation to their interest or bids."
Everyone is reading that as meaning that no such satisfactory bid has yet been received, thereby contradicting the earlier reports of Appleby's bid.
However, I would say the key part is the last sentence above i.e.:
"nor can we release any detail in relation to their interest or bids."
So I'd suggest that they couldn't say even if they had received an acceptable bid from Appleby or anyone else.
