It was probably his best performance, it was quite good. No more, no less. He did miskick a clearance almost into his own goal and it wasn't a penalty, he pulled the defender over him. He does it regularly.
An improvement but still some distance behind Cashin and Nelson.

    Great win and three pts.!
But need to keep feet on the ground…. It was a very gritty performance but if u replay the game (as I did in full) ignoring the fact that you know we won, then overall it wasn’t a stellar performance, with only one other real chance (Max when he jinxed through magically and really should have scored).
Amazing what difference one goal makes … if we had drawn or lost 1-0 then our feelings would obviously be a lot different and then the performance would have been examined a log differently. Did we score and then just manage the game well to hold on to that lead?? We held out well but our lack of creativity was still a worry.
Not at all wanting to dampen spirts after a valuable win but just saying that the 1-0 scraped win shouldn’t hide the fact that we aren’t firing on all cylinders yet. NML’s injury the big concern- gonna be out for a couple of weeks at least even assuming the best… we can’t afford to lose him for any time…

Just watched the game back in full (amazing how u can relax and enjoy watching when u know we have won 😎).
Bradley did much better but his positional sense still seems off to me. Several times Cash or Nelson had to run in behind him to cover.
There was also much talk about his ‘physicality’ … but I just don’t see it. When he’s jumping for a header or going into a 50/50 I still see him (for such a massive guy) being pushed off the ball too easily. I want to see some fearsome aggression from him so as the opposition’s CF is scared sh@tless.
I think the result is rather tainting some folks’ view but hey, credit where it’s due, he was much better and if he can keep on improving then he may become the player we thought we signed.
Still intrigued what PW does in terms of either three or four at the back. We are too strong with Fozz and Nyambe in a back four to waste that set-up in my view and if CBT is to feature I don’t see how that happens if we stick with 3-5-2.
Gonna be interesting with Wilson as well- I don’t want to see him dropped- offers too much for us going forward in my view …

Great win. Average performance. But it’s all about the points.
Despite them losing, those two last-minute goals from Posh could be pretty valuable as if keeps their GD up with the best…
Stevenage surprising me- they are hanging in well and still in the mix. IF they won their two games in-hand then they are right up behind us … bit of a dark horse really….
Lang since joining Pompey has been superb -they look very strong again.
This is getting super tight and will hang on one or two games i reckon…

Interesting hearing PW on RD saying that how Ebou played today was how he was wanting and expecting Fornah to play- but that ‘it hadn’t worked out quite so well (yet)’.
Hopefully Fornah can learn from Ebou’s aggression and work rate…

Good interviews today i thought 👍😎
Well, we know that Wardy likes the word ‘massive’ 😂
PW really upbeat- strange response initially , though, when asked to comment on the away support….
Charlton weren’t great but credit to a few players who have taken a bit of stick recently - Bradley looked much better, Wardy did well despite being out of the team for so long and Collo once again worked tirelessly. Bird looked a different player. Badge thumping when we scored- interesting. Think it will have put a few people’s mind to rest about his ongoing commitment to DCFC- PW also mentioned that which makes me think they’ve picked up on the comments of some fans…. Hopefully now put that matter to bed 👍
I suspect NML will be out for at least a couple of weeks so we need CBT back to 100%.
Intrigued what PW will now do with Nyambe back and when Fozzy is fit again. Back 4 with those back in it makes us very strong but we know he likes a back three with WBs ….

What an utterly pointless back and forth this has degraded in to.
As it stands and like it or not, Collins is our main man up front. Get behind him, help keep his confidence up and he'll do his level best to get us over the line.
I don't give a toss what his % of his goals are penalties, just that goals are going in. Get a grip. Ive done my share of moaning about our style of play but this takes the biscuit.
