Para 1 states Feb 1st which is specific.
It is incredible that they have released this statement at 10 pm .
Just proves they are not dealing very well with any of this .
Their incompetence is the problem and has been all along but unfortunately it’s to our detriment.
The EFL are useless and completely ungoverned and are answerable to no one other than themselves.
I have always said this and I believe the chickens are coming home to roost .
Para one does indeed state Feb 1st, however the actually call it a “further extension” when we originally had to the end of the season. Not sure hoe that is a further extension.

In Para two it implies we have been given an extension to the end of season to provide a funding plan. If I have read that right we are not up the Swan you on Feb 1st. Hope I have read it right.

I’ve seen on Twitter that the EFL are to release a statement tomorrow and they are continuing talks with Middlesbrough, Wycombe and the administrators.
"They are continuing talks with MFC and WW" I thought they weren't allowed to..... somebody has rattled them.

I understand why the EFL would want us to show that we have the funds to continue but I would have thought that a simple acknowledgment of this from the preferred bidder would have placated them.
i don’t understand the Wycombe/Middlesbrough thing. They have not started the process of going to court (as they cannot under Insolvency rules) and they have not asked the EFL for arbitration. Therefore I don’t see how it can be seen as a debt.
i think the rumour of the Administration trying to circumvent the rules re leaving administration has to be false as that would be stupid. I’m sure their legal stance is likely to be around Wycombe and Middlesbrough. Unless they are trying to get HMRC to be classified as a lessor creditor so that they only get 25%.
mel didn’t play with a straight bat and I was hoping that we would from now on
The second paragraph is the real reason there is an impasse, the claim by two league colleagues will never come to fruition, it is a ruse to make us sell players, weaken the squad enough to relegate us, then with one day to go say they won't pursue it. Allowing enough time for the PB and finance for the future to be agreed. EfL,MFC and WW will tell us how they saved us.......childish and dangerous games being played by them.

I bet the efl will find a way to extend the transfer window just to allow other clubs to buy our players
Extend it all they want, we do not have to sell anybody until the last day. Calls for us to sell when there are still 14 days of the month left is unreasonable, especially if we can secure funding from the PB. As I have said before this is constructive relegation.

That is a very fair point. If EFL take action based on an unlawful rule then any action they take in consequence of that rule may also be challenged.
We would also be able to sue EFL for the delta between what Shinnie was sold for and his true market value....

So he doesn't want the money then? His point is noted, why hasn't he backed off? And Wycombe?
Because the longer we are kept under embargo, and having to sell players there us more chance of us having to field a less competitive side, ending with relegation. This is his real goal based on us stopping Boro getting into the play offs 3 years ago. Sweet revenge for him, spitef in truth.

Q's statement to me read as though they cannot 'crack on' as EFL won't let them name a preferred bidder (EFL have to approve the business plan?) until the Boro/Wycombe claims as resolved?
If that is the case Quantama need to get a wiggle on, sorry if I missed that bit, otherwise we will be playing our under 18s from Feb onwards.

We can't crack on with the takeover because the EFL say we need to provide proof of funds for the rest of the season.
We can't give that because that Bamford at boro and his septic mate from Wycombe are claiming they are owed compo.
We can't settle those claims because we have no money to pay, and we can't see them in court because no legal claim has been bought.
No one is willing to step up for the £50m it takes to get out of admin and resolve all this because without a legal resolution it might technically take another £50m to pay the bubble haired shitehawk off.
Only the EFL can plot a course through the maelstrom, and they won't without having their feet held to the fire in public, because they are corrupt and ruled by vested interests with an agenda against us.
In short, we the fans are the only hope. Forget RT, they're useless. We need leaders to step up from within, as happened before with the 3 amigos but on a massively larger scale.
I'll join anything, do anything, and I'll find a few quid to help but I'm neither smart or connected enough to lead. Anyone?
Am I missing anything?
To answer your first 3 paras;
We can crack on, the PB would need to put their deposit in the account first though.
They are only claiming, and seemingly only to us in reality as the EFL are standing off.
Weshouldn’t need the money for the claims, the claim(threat of claims) wouldn’t stand up in court if it got to that.
These are only my views, they may be wrong but they are mine.

But prospective owners are unlikely proceed with the threat hanging over them .
Only Ashley has the clout to save us on the brink of liquidation.
Get to the end of the season by selling a few players in the window and try and sort mess out then
I agree with your reply, I a must saying that if somebody did take it on they would be doing whilst sticking their fingers up at Gibson. Theoretically anyone taking over the club would stop it as Gibson wants us relegated not liquidated.
I do worry what would happen if we were liquidated, I imagine there are some unsavoury characters out there that would make it their aim to destroy Gibson’s property and in general his life difficult etc as retribution. I am certainly not one by the way.

No 2 different entities
Where do UEFA or FIFA sit in the football governance/authority scale. Surely the EFL has somebody they are accountable to. If not they are a huge self licking lollipop.

We can legally exit administration without settling the cases, but we can't exit administration without the EFL's approval and remain in the EFL. And a football club without it's golden share is worth about 20p, so no one is going to take it over.
The thing is there are no cases to settle, just threats to sue us, that is why arbitration is being suggested. Only after arbitration would it go to court. We should just crack on with the take over, Steve Gibson will drop the threat once we have clear owners, he is pushing the administrators, with EFL deference, hoping they will cave in and give him some money or as is more likely string it out until we are no longer competitive in terms of suitable team players. Thus seeing us relegated, his real main aim. Slimy and manipulative comes to mind.

It means what they are doing does not fit the law
So, if I understand this right Derby Mel Morris buying the ground wasn't illegal but didn't fit the law, Derby used an amortisation that wasn't illegal but didn't fit the law too. We get punished for the second one(fined), just how duplicitous do the EFL want to be.
Forgive me if I have this wrong.

I think he’ll say: I’ll get back to you in the next 6 years.
I agree, but once the PB is in it would show that he is making idle but effective threats. It will become ineffective once we have the PB.

I'm thinking the same thing...
We allegedly have new investors 'ready to go' and they keep putting obstacles in the way! They want 'proof of funds', well let us announce a preferred bidder and we'll have the ducking funds! Vindictive c*nts! ?
They don't want is to go out of business, they, like Gibson want us relegated, they are doing their best to ensure we can only field a weak team. Soft loans will be used to keep us going as a "business" however that business will be reduced to its lowest competitive level. They are forcing a punishment on us due to the fact they look mugs for agreeing our amortisation method/ground sale etc.i would call it"constuctive relegation".

The Gibson issue may go away very quickly if the PB is announced, he is using his claim to slow the process down. He needs his bluff calling, get the PB in then tell him to take it to arbitration/Court if he wants. He knows he won't win any case should he do it, otherwise he would have pushed it further by now. A I have said it isn't about money, it is about getting us relegated. He isn't necessarily greedy, just spiteful.

GK will be in whenever. No rush
With Kazim, Plange, Stretton and Lawrence as options at CF, I doubt we'll be in for another.
Jagielka, Davies, Stearman and Cashin are good enough at CB. A "younger mobile CB" will wait until the summer.
A winger is the priority. We're limited to Jozwiak, Ebosele, Knight and Lawrence as options. One is our starting AM, another is our cover at RB, and another fills in anywhere across that midfield 5
A rush GK would be great to see.

Hi, can you add me to the list please, Stowmarket pick up would be good for me but could possibly be flexible on that. I may be able to talk a couple of others into going. How would we go about getting tickets as a group.

You give him too much credit, with too little reason for thinking so.
The mardy little scrote will do everything within his power to finish us off, like the the little coward he is.
He's the shitebag who hangs back in a gangfight, then wades in with a final kick to ironic cheers once the fight is over.
He needs to be taught a lesson by the bigger boys, asap.
I don’t disagree about him being a scrote , I am just allowing emotion to fog my thoughts too much. I have already said he is a bully. Bullies never finish off their targets, they keep them hanging on. Why get rid of your fun......

I don’t think Gibson wants us liquidated, I see him wanting us to become non-competitive on the field by the end of the month via some sales of our better players. He will leave everything to last minute, then drop the case/accusations happy that he has condemned us to league one with. But will allow enough time for a buyer to take us on before we are truly economically unviable.
what really needs to happen is the admins should call his bluff and force him to take us to court by getting a buyer in now. If he had a case to throw at us he would already have done so, he doesn’t really want or expect £45m or liquidation, he just wants us in league one.

It’s easy to find an email address for your MP - just google him or her. I just sent an email to amanda.solloway.mp@parliament.uk
who is the MP for Derby North. We should bombard them with requests for them to get involved. RamsTrust and BAWT need to be all over this
Every MP in Derbyshire should be all over this. I live in Suffolk so cannot directly email them. I was wondering if the Mayor of Derby has been engaged in this as yet. A bit of Civic pressure may also help.

Personally I would appeal to the Minister for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, and ask her to have a quiet word in Rick Parry’s ear, with reference to the very worrying precedent that could be set in this case.
The EFL need to take ownership of the situation, defuse it and lay down the law to all its member clubs about going down this route in the future.

You can only email Nadine Dorries directly if you are in her constituency, so use the email above.
Thanks HB, I am not the greatest wordsmith but may give it a go tomorrow. Sadly she isn’t my MP. CR.

It contradicts what is in the main second paragraph. I wonder if it is meant to say a further extension from 1 Feb with the detail in Para 2 of the extension. The whole statement is so poorly written, I bet I am not the only with this confusion.
