Derby born and bred but moved to the Costa Del Suffolk because the Army told me to........

I would imagine the most Middlesboring would be awarded is the home takings for the semi final. There could be no no guarantee they would beat Leeds, so the best they can be given is actually progressing to the play offs. £40m odd is based on them actually winning the playoffs. Again not guaranteed.

@chipperram you weren't sitting outside a cafe in Needham Market High Street wearing the Zebra DCFC shirt a couple of weeks ago were you?
If not its another suffolk based Ram or a visitor. I nearly made my wife crash, such was my excitement when I spotted said Derby fan.
Sorry, been on holiday. Not me Frank, I tend to buy the 3rd kits. It may have been Martin from the Swan, I will be in there on Saturday for the match.

Was the MD of Qualcast Roger Lackner by any chance?
Sorry, I can’t remember it is 32 years since I left there. I doubt I could even answer you then as I didn’t even know what an MD was............I was scared enough of my own foreman as it was with out the complications of real grown ups existing.

Ahhh, good to know. There's a couple of more Rams fans in and around Stowmarket as Atco Qualcast relocated from Littleover Derby to Stowmarket back in the 90s which later became/what is now Bosch.
We'll have to meet up for a drink/match at the Swan in Needham some time. I currently have Sky but my deal runs out in December and not sure if I'll renew, especially if we're doing poo!
I have a brother from Coddenham who's also a fan.
Thought Qualcast would be the link. I did an apprenticeship at Qualcast Foundry’s. I will be cancelling sky from September so I have an excuse to go to the pub. I used to watch the game in the Oak before he change moved to Swan, the Swan is a nicer place too. He used to love it when the fans got off the train for a last stop pint before going onto Ipswich. Maybe they need to get off at Needham and aim for the Swan now instead.

Franks Tanked, you are not alone here in Stowmarket. I have lived here since 96 after being posted to Wattisham, can’t get away now. Lived in Mickleover until I joined up at 23. Been to matches against the tractor boys and occasionally made it back to PP. White Swan in Needham is good To watch the Rams in, the landlord is a supporter too.

The Administration Thread

Gibson is absolutely devoid of any compassion for the supporters/Fans of Derby County, his moral compass is also requiring calibration. This is a personal spat with Morris dressed up in fight with the Club, he knows if he goes for Morris the claim has no standing.
The issue is he isn’t being taken to task by the media, all the scraps we read are based on what will happen to us, by whom and for whatever elaborate reason, that is what makes news. The press are whipping up the storm to ensure the story continues, what is required is people like Jim White on talk sport getting Gibson on the radio to justify his reasons, which so far he has hasn’t really publicly done. Reason being it is a time wasting exercise, designed to make us sell our better players and consequently be relegated due to being unable to perform to the required level. It is a very one sided fight. Like taking sweets of the kid in an all over body cast........he is a bully.
BAWT have done a sterling job trying to appeal to their fans, something Gibson won’t worry about in the slightest, however, more needs to be made of this through the media. More about the effect on the players, fans and city as a whole.
I think this will only end when our top performers have been sold, and we are placed in a near uncompetitive position on Jan 31st. Sadly we have no leaverage if this impasse continues.
who else in the media as well as Jim White would be useful in highlighting the real overal effect of this.
