Have a look through the fixtures work out where you think we’ll pick up points, I can up with 40 points and I thought I was generous to us. Reading have to win 4 games and hull would nee 3. Unfortunately I think we have left it too late.
If we look back on this season I’d say we under performed(compared to the rest of the season) in October which looks to be costing us.
Hull are in free fall but they are 13 points ahead, regardless of games in hand (we need to win those a games) I can’t see them not winning for 13 games!

Reading are soft at the back but they have Swift Hoilet Joao Ince and even though they have a soft defence they have goals in them (even when they were losing they were able score 3 goals and loose) I just don’t see enough teams I’m and around us to drag them into the fight.

Of course I could be wrong and we could go on a 8 game winning run.

That’s a great attendance for a midweek game vs Millwall. Even in promotion campaigns we wouldn’t get that midweek.
I do think the pricing has helped tremendously this month, tickets are a fair price. So often under Morris I’d buy midweek tickets at around £37-40 each. Which is very excessive when you have to pay for more than one ticket.
£20-25 a ticket is spot on, and I do think it’s helping getting fans through the doors. I have often thought why don’t they drop the price to get more people in and buying things at the ground.

I don’t think footballers actually think about that when they’re playing. If they did, I don’t think they would make it into professional football.

There was a moment in the last minute of added time where he could have just headed it away for a 50/50 but instead he took it on his chest and took the pressure off us.
Whereas I liked what I saw, we can’t really afford to be blooding him, probably go with Stearman against a tougher opposition. Looks a great prospect for next season.

Since Rick Parry “chairman of the EFL” can be drawn into an argument with a fan at one club via email (no offence intended @David) it really does show the level of professionalism at the EFL and how it is run. Absolute circus.

    Amicably arguing let’s say.*
    The point really being is that really shouldn’t be handled by Rick Parry, the response should just be along the lines of;
Thank you for your email but I am not willing to enter into a discussion with a 3rd party about this closed case.

Him arguing back only makes it look further like us vs them/ Derby Vs EFL Narrative.
This is nothing against David fair play for approaching him. To me it’s just highlighted how dreadfully unprofessional the EFL are

I find it very difficult to see what the admin are actually doing. They have had three credible bidders/interested parties since November/December. The legal claims have been there since the beginning. We are now into the beginning of Feb?! MM has even offered to get rid of the big obstacle that was in there way. After reading the q&a they (imo) alluded to more obstacles they can use to ramp up their remuneration.
They have said in the past they are willing to work night and day to get this through but so far all I can see is hot air and not a lot of substance. It is still my opinion that MM is still pulling the strings in this whole situation. Hence why Steve Gibson is so hell bent on suing us.

Could we approach the club to get some Derby legends/past players/celebrities to put on a bit of an event at PP stadium?
charge everyone £30/40 entry and pass buckets around the ground to raise some money?
Get the like of Niall Horgan to play a song or two. Couple of tails from players that played under Brian Clough. Even recent players with a bit or personality in front of a crowd like of Savage, Bent, hey even Frank Lampard and Wazza!

30,000 at £40 1.2 million - plus donations, may also attract some national media to increase donations.

When all is said and done the admin just have to put a proviso in that we as fans get a seat at the table with the next owners? Not to necessarily make decisions, just have transparency over the running of the club.

Not many institutions have this unique ability raise money in this way at short notice.
