BaaLocks got a reaction from Hans Datdo-Dishes in New joke thread (trigger alert, may offend if you want it to)
Always struggled with the punchline on that joke "not sure whether to go for the easy pink or the difficult brown". Doesn't work in reality as a pink is worth six points so you'd always take it over a four point brown. Don't need to wash your cue straight after also.

BaaLocks got a reaction from Rev in Have Derby County been treated unfairly by the EFL
Strangely, it may well have all been a blessing in disguise. I feel more confident about Derby today than I have for a long time, and more aligned to the values of the club. We were a gnats todger away from going under, but we didn't and while many local businesses got hit in the process (which is genuinely sad) we are here to fight another day. There will be another, and another, club that gets itself into the pickle that we, Bolton, Leeds and others have done - a couple of them won't be as lucky as us to have someone like Clowes able to help. Maybe when a few of them have ceased to exist people will start to realise what a binfire modern football (and club ownership) is.

BaaLocks got a reaction from Ellafella in Derby County v West Ham Player Ratings
Wildsmith: 7 (great block save at 1-0, wasn't really at fault for any of the goals)
Smith: 7 (looked lively at times, couple of good blocks)
Davies: 6 (sorry, just shows why he is playing at this level now)
Forsyth: 7 (some good through balls, actually posed some threat)
Roberts: 7.5 MOTM (nice touch on the ball, some good close skill when in danger)
Hourihane: 5 (besides corners struggling to remember him kicking the ball)
Bird: 5 (not his best game, got caught out more than once)
Mendez-Laing: 6 (80% of the player he could be, but in that role you need the extra 20% or it's all for nothing)
Knight: 7 (bustling and inventive, got a bit stranded early on but found his place and showed he can mix it at that level)
Barkhuizen: 6 (made a right hash of his chance early doors, what it might have been had that been taken)
Collins: 5 (at least we know now he can sub for Wildsmith if needed, punched it more times than he kicked it)
Cashin: 6 (black boots on a footballer - who'd have thought it possible. Not the only thing that is old school about him, has a good touch as well)
Dobbin: 7 (pacey and able to run through players, not always sure if it's his fault or his team mates that the final ball misses)
Thompson: can't relly make a fair assessment
Springett: can't relly make a fair assessment
Rooney: 7 actually looked solid on the ball, for the short time he was on
OVERALL: Undone by a better team two leagues above us. No great shame in that, even if we did somewhat whimper out of the competition without a serious effort on target.

BaaLocks got a reaction from therealhantsram in Watchable telly
Yeah, redone it all as my wife didn't see it first time around. I'd forgotten just how harrowing the conclusion to series two is. Sarah Lancashire is just a thing of wonder to watch as well - it is a role that would be so easy to just completely over do and ham it up but she knows exactly how to move the meter, when, and in what direction. I do admit, I almost find it distracting - a bit like watching Messi when you realise you're not actually watching the game. Not complaining though, love it.

If only one then Tomori all the way for me. Classy player and I cannot understand how Southgate keeps omitting him from his England squads.
But I have a soft spot for most ex-Rams and would love to see how some of the ex-academy players like Whitaker and Ebiowei would fare in this team.

BaaLocks reacted to Rev in Is "woke" confusing kids
I have to say, I find this a strange take.
A repressed gay man doesn't turn to paedophilia through lack of choice, that's a lazy trope I thought we'd moved beyond.

BaaLocks reacted to EtoileSportiveDeDerby in Is "woke" confusing kids
Raising kids as I always, say is the most imortant "job" any adult will ever have, yet there is no training for it. The world we live in, social media, woke, so many variations of gender etc. has made it even more difficult i think. My kids are now yound adults so the job is done (I think?) but reading through this and "trying" to keep up with the worId makes me realise that parenting is not going to get any easier any time soon.
Anybody tried to ask ChatGPT? ?

The Ajanta on Sacheveral Street was always a much better venue for those sort of bands. A venue that was an Indian porn cinema by day and a punk rock venue by night - now that's how to use a facility.

Fall over? There is a difference between winning a free kick and conning for one. Grealish wins free kicks (imho), Martin conned for them. You might like that, it's not what I want to see in my football team.

Jackie Stewart, on BBC news about government investment in dementia because his wife has it, all the way from his tax haven in Geneva is just the sort of thing I need to boil my morning piddle. If you want to improve a country, live in it, pay your taxes and help fund those very things. If you don't, your choice but you lose the right to complain.
