I'm excited to see the largest ever debt for a football club reach its conclusion.
As someone who has been a manager in an auditing firm, I'm glad that a resolution has happened.
I've no qualms about ck taking over.
Just happy to see job done, and to get on with the rebuild.
I see some challenges ahead in League one.
I accept that with a sizeable debt, it was always unlikely that the process was going to be smooth sailing, but happy that it will behind us in 3 years, once the final payments go to the creditors.

I am just pointing out that Derby Fans can be excused for being sceptical about the whole process and it’s not easy to suddenly trust that it’s all ok now without any hiccups.
We have all been down over this especially as Leeds and Forest are two Divisions above us now. .
We can’t all go to euphoria although having a club still in many ways is all I ever wanted.
Lets all get together behind CK ,Rooney and the Rams if that’s what the outcome is. 

If 5 to 6 million I wouldn't sell him.
He's one of our best players and can help lift us ouf of league one, he's definitely above championship standard as he gets interest from premier league teams

Reading through twitter and the Derbyshire Live comments section I hope to god that CK doesn't think that these deadheads represent the wider supporter base of Derby County.
I'm not sure how some of these people have managed to reach adulthood. CK has made himself available for questions at all points during this process and on face value he has given honest answers regardless of whether they are good or bad news.
Cut the bloke a bit of slack, wind your necks in, engage your brains and show a bit of patience, it's only 1 extra day, which is nothing after what we've been through.

The top two strikers this season played for Sunderland and Wigan.
11 goals in season would barely be noticed in the high scoring league one.
Last time I checked the vast majority of free agents and loam platers that Derby might be able to sign in League one, we're not likely to score more than 15 goals a season

Looking forward to see who the new striker will be.
This leaves derby without a quality striker for league 1.
A quality striker is a player capable of scoring more than 15 goals in a season.
Derby will need to spend to bring that player in.

None of this is surprising.
I don't expect derby to be promoted next season.
I don't expect derby to be competitive next season, the team has to have a complete rebuild.
Derby will have many weak areas, that I feel certain will not be strengthened by loan players willing to play in League 1 or by over the hill free agents that were not already snapped up by championship teams.
I think derby have 3 years in League 1, while the debt to creditors is repaid.
Not sure any of this matters, as it least there will be a club.

The hundreds of jobs either directly working for dcfc, for one of their suppliers or else who's businesses profit when football matches encourage thousands to the city, who might not other wise visit derby.
Maybe these same politicians care about the work with the community that dcfc does, and for which I believe that dcfc won an award this year.
Maybe these local politicians just wanted to honour rooney for doing as much as he could to stop the club from ceasing to exist.

Sorry but I do have a soft spot for Kenny Burns. My dad was a lifelong Forest fan, he had a stroke a while before his death and we met KB at the horse racing. He was raising money for help for heroes by having photos with a cup they apparently won ages ago when they scraped past a part time team from Sweden. He spent @ 30 mins reminiscing about the game which my dad had attended too. I think he just likes the pantomime villain role. He is a fat bar steward tho

Next free agents, a manager knows that one man's garbage is another's treasure. The listings of retired players may include some hidden gems, although old legs don’t go so far especially in the physical league one.
Next Loan players, a disadvantage of a loan is that some players are too young to make an immediate impression. However, some can compete and even flourish at lesser levels.
Bargain older players have drawbacks. An old player with season or two is all you'll sign on a bargain. Injured or physically declining players will be the most common ones you sign. Your scouts matter. Without a network, there will be no transactions.

For all the stats of his rubbish aerial performance Wisdom, I think I remember our defensive record when he played in the 2020-21 season was actually better than when he wasn't in it, and he was part of the defence that only conceded something like 3 goals in 10 games at one point. 
It could all have been completely coincidental and I could be misremembering the numbers though.
I wouldn't actually rank him below Stearman overall, who'll individually cost us about 12 goals next season if he plays regularly (*not based on anything statistically, I just really think he's crap and extremely error prone), but I wouldn't have either of them here tbh.

159 players played at CB in the 20/21 season, including many full backs and midfielders. For aerial duels won, Wisdom ranked 125th.
A few of those only played a few games there, so there's not enough data for reliable success rates.
93 played in at least 10 games, Wisdom ranking 83rd.
That is not a CB I want in my team in League 1.
 
He was a very good RB under Mac I, and reliable under Rowett and Cocu in the first season. But, poor ever since, and can only be worse now having not played for so long.
 
We've been linked with Flint and had Stearman with us for a season. I'd much rather have either of those than Wisdom.

I agree with you, I'm just saying that the academy requires time to rebuild.
Players take time to step up.
I'm concerned about players the wrong side of 32 being relied on as well, so we get linked with Bardsley.

I think there's relevance, yet also a mute point.
You have to know which battles to fight.
The efl isn't a winnable battle unless the majority of other league members of the efl association guarantee their support and they will not do so.
Dcfc agreed to abide by the rules of the efl when they became members of the efl association.
Unless dcfc wish to withdraw their membership of the efl, they have to work with and abide by the rules of the efl.
I agree that Derby could have stopped the spurious boro and Wycombe claims, but they didn't.
I say that the efl don't fully support its members and probably needs to change, but aside from a majority vote in favour of dcfc, that's not going to happen.
The efl didn't failed Bury fc and derby fc, but they will not change on their own.

Conservative MP Damian Collins, a former chair of the digital, culture, media and sport committee, said it was the EFL's failure to punish Derby at the time which has caused the current chaos.
"If the EFL had enforced its own financial rules effectively this wouldn't have happened," said Collins. "And yet it is the EFL's own rules that will trigger the expulsion of Derby from the league."
EFL as a governing body deserves opprobrium for today’s situation too. Its tardiness in dealing with these initial rule breaches, the lack of clarity over its FFP regulations, coupled with years of wrangling on charges for which the club was eventually cleared, led to prolonged uncertainty for Derby and, more significantly, to other clubs becoming increasingly aggrieved. 
The efl are guilty by failure to act on the boro and Wycombe spurious claims.
The EFL’s judgment on whether they are indeed football debts crucial. According to Derby’s administrators, the EFL was unwilling to clarify this, imperilling a Derby takeover. That left the club scrambling to find ways to prove they could afford to see out the season by the EFL-imposed deadline of February 1.
It’s difficult not to conclude that we’ve seen gross EFL incompetence throughout this saga. A worthy governance institution should enforce rules in a timely manner and offer clarity. The FFP regulations are specifically supposed to ensure that members cannot get into these situations. On those grounds, the EFL has failed. 
The efl failed derby in reflecting the effect of lost revenue due to covid.
Julian Knight, the chairman of the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport select committee pointed out the EFL had benefited from financial assistance itself, during the Covid crisis.
'In light of that, it is beholden on the EFL to show decency and understanding to Derby County, a former league champion club, in this their hour of need,' he said.
I don't want to keep rehashing these things, but for me, without question, the efl are not innocent km the Derby county situation.
Would things have been different if dcfc had am owner with financial clout to bring in lawyers to defend itself, we might never know, and now thanks to ck, another chapter of dcfc cab be written.
