PistoldPete got a reaction from LeedsCityRam in Richard Keogh
It literally didn’t go to an employment tribunal. It went to a special tribunal for football players.
if it had gone to a proper employment tribunal the maximum payout would have been about £80k. the burden of proof would have normally been on the claimant. Derby would have had rights to appeal up to several layers .. an employment appeals tribunal , court of appeal etc. And the results and full reasoning would have been published.

A bit harsh. He was, until the final shaming, a good servant for the club and at this level a reasonably skilled defender. A bit accident prone even before the Joiners incidnt though.

Yes. The fact they didn't charge him for not wearing a seat belt (which needed proof beyond reasonable doubt) doesn't mean he was wearing a seat belt. Has Keogh ever claimed he was wearing one? Where was that dealt with in the tribunal? Oh we don't know because they never published it.

Not happening this week it seems. But last we heard it will be this month to nominate a buyer. I guess that means next week. if not January maybe.. can't see lawyers and everyone else working all the way up to Christmas. If they do it will be at triple rates no doubt.

PistoldPete reacted to Ellafella in Keep the positive vibe going
It’s so key that we transmit positive energy from the stands. It’s hard to stay positive I know but I’ve been exceedingly proud of Derby fans this year. Another 90 minutes at Bristol last week of constant singing. Immense.

Fair enough. Except he was the one who got injured. Which wasn't entirely co-incidental if he was not wearing a seat belt. And he was club captain.

Sorry don’t see your point. They all behaved abominably .. Lawrence was still able to come to work and do the job he was paid for.
Keogh wasn’t .. and Keogh was the club captain, a mature man and should have known better. They all had the money, the resources, the opportunity to not do what they did.

That may be because the reasons for the tribunal's findings were not published. Unlike with proper employment tribunals.

Maximum payout for breach of contract at emplyoment tribunal is £25k.
A footballer gets £2m payout because it's a football tribunal. Is that fair? I don't think so.
Should a footballer who gets such rewards and protections not be subject to higher standards of care for his own health and safety? Not get pissed up , get into a car driven by someone he knew was drinking also , not wear a seat belt, and then get himself injured as a result? Is that too much to ask of a professional footballer? Leave alone a club captain?

PistoldPete got a reaction from Ewe Ram in Richard Keogh
Many reasons. But the first question to ask is why was the reasoning for the judgment not published? Employmnet tribunal rulings always are. SO there is a lack of transparency.
Also there are limits on what normal employmnet tribunals can pay out, so maximum excluding discrimination claims is about £80k. Well it turns out that footballers tribunals do not apply those rules either. You get my drift.

PistoldPete reacted to Blackpoolmad in Most Blackpool fans tomorrow...
We remember how your fans supported us through our darkest hours.
We now have our club back and we are on our way back, but your fans were brilliant at Bloomfield Road singing all the Oyston out songs with us. We had a mini riot during that game, a night match and later that season, we started boycotting games home and away.
Word is, our fans are 100% behind you during this hopefully short term blip in your great clubs situation.
Good luck from the Seasiders!
Bri.

It's so compelling watching how these geniuses put together the songs I've grown up listening to.
And then there's the awkwardness of this other person, always there, just watching, vacant expression, contributing nothing...
Suppose them drums weren't gonna play themselves though eh?

SO is our points total 1 point from 21 games so 2 points at the end of the season, or 22 from 21 games, so 46 less 21 or 25 points. Either way the result is the same for the Rams I think.

PistoldPete got a reaction from Rammy03 in Where you at with the 5 stages of grief
Tbh I have never sung “he’s one of our own”. But anyway the suggestion that any of this is the fault of rams fans is outrageous.
I don’t think Any fans were demanding that we sign anya .. . and the off chance of us reaching the promised land was hardly an ever an off chance.
As for duck the Efl . Yes duck em and good riddance when they get stripped of their regulatory powers.

Ok , guilty as charged I was taken in. And criticised Morris for talking rubbish. Then thought maybe he might have been misquoted. And someone said it was a total spoof anyway. Haha!

Well frankly that’s rubbish from Mel.
I questioned the signing of butterfield at the time we had hendrick who I thought was better and younger.
so that’s rubbish to say the fans were wanting the likes of butterfield signed.
