Remember us being in for Kenwyne Jones that summer and Sunderland kept upping the ante by 500k when we made offers. Think we packed it up at 6 million in the end and signed Miller for 3.  To be fair, the only way Gadsby could get the club, was to promise the co op bank 17 million on promotion and then a couple of the consortium wanted there money back immediately as well which wasn't in the script.  Plus an additional 8 million in promotion bonuses that the rest of the squad had increased in their contracts when the January new boys came in- which I recall created a rather inharmonious dressing room at one point and probably cost us second spot.   That 35 million was gone before it was spent.  Shame we didn't push the boat a bit for Nugent at the time for 4.5 instead of Miller mind and why we sold Jones/oakley/howard for what we bought them for in the January when we were clearly staring a Championship campaign in the face the following season god knows.   

I must say this has been keeping me up at night.  With everything else happening over the last couple of years it's still on my mind on a constant basis.  Sure everyone has been just as stressed and irritability at home has been noticed.  I'm off to bed with some headache tablets and whale music and hopefully get more than a couple of hours. 

You wouldn't consider Fury/Usyk a far bigger draw after his fights with Wilder, particularly in The States.  I'd say it absolutely is.  

I have a feeling it's 12 which is a fair sum for this league.  Don't know if that's an average or maximum regardless of others.

Well they aren’t bothered about the possible illegal source of the transfer funds so I doubt that very much

Start your best side.  Keep reading the team is behind everyone else in terms of fitness and game time- never really been convinced of that with extra training and core fitness.  Give them a game then.  Probably one where they'll be seeing less of the ball than normal and have do a lot of hard running and we might get a result.  Winner all round.

They have 2 very decent forwards at this level.  one of whom we never got the best of at Derby with injury, confidence and a complete disregard for his natural attributes as an in the box finisher .  I fancy them to win the league as they have goals .  Most strikers in this league appear to be turd and it will make the difference.

Ol ploppys been round their forum like a fly round a cows a******* for months slagging us off . Now this betrayal.  Also the most entitled fan base around according to his minions.  Need to make their mind up it was us for 2 years. 
Pushed FFP to the limit- who knows in the fullness of time what proper analysis of their accounts to 2022 will show, they put in for £28m in 3 years in Covid addbacks and claims iirc which could surely in the fullness of time be challenged or amended by the EFL for FFP purposes- remember though they were rather good at sales, especially youth players as I say which on disposal is pure profit.
Cooper came in, strong loanees- something just clicked and they surged last season- Cup run helped too IMO, beating Arsenal and Leicester will have put confidence up further- perfect storm, struck while iron was hot. That Carvalho 'sale' to Olympiakos in January however...would be very interesting to see what that was- could it have kept them the right side of FFP?

Absolutely no chance they get anyway near 50 million back on those two.  Your looking at excess of 250-280 million overall with fees and wages they'll be stuck with for 3-4 years or take a huge loss.

Knights average in his first season worked out around 9-10 goals as he got 7 in 31.  Probably more as a fair few of those were 20-30 minute cameos, plus the constant energy.  His goal average has suffered since with overplaying in 19/20, constantly being jammed out wide in 20/21, a 3 month layoff with a bust ankle last season and now he's full back .  Only Derby would stick a bloke with motm performances in his last 3 international matches playing midfield, at fullback in League one.   Probably very used to playing with Hourihane in that midfield as well so they know each others game .  Ridiculous.
