Countless staff who work there are on ad hoc contracts that pay the living wage- was minimum till 3 years ago and SSP.

I've been down the SSP route on a casual contract.  Good luck surviving on 14 quid a day when you can't work.  Would you rather have someone with cancer or indeed a mental health illness continuing to drag their arse into work.  Maybe the pressure would result in suicide . That'll teach em for being ill or maybe having a spot of PTSD that needs attention.  They don't offer the full sick pay for 4 years by the way and it's on a sliding 12 month scale.

Knight and Hourihane play together for Ireland.   Before the Wycombe game I suggested we put them together as we were probably missing a trick. We did for 40 minutes and Hourihane had freedom to move as they were worried about one or the other breaking forward.

Engineering for one.  My mate at Royces had a a regular pay increase for a number of years.  In fact he's just had another 9% which greatly pissed off another mate at the same place who got less, despite his department securing the additional percentage by not accepting a previous offer.

Well fair enough. Hourihane is a luxury item,  and we earn one of those if Jason energiser Bunny is on the pitch. This leads to Bird on the Bench though and if you’re brave enough to suggest that surely you get banned for life

Marriott averaging 1 in 3 mostly at championship level since going back.  3 in 5 starts this season.  Personally, i'd be happy to have him as an option  for 18 months. Especially if we actually played to his strengths in a two rather than drifting him out wide constantly up top on his own.  Only issue would be if he's still getting 5 games then an injury.
