Elder, Ward, Bradley, Fornah and a terminally injured Waghorn and Washington. That's a lot of wages, probably very good ones at this level, injured or not playing. If I was chairman I'd be reticent about spaffing fees and wages on players with that track record of signings. Think we'll only be going so far, funds available or not.

So it starts. Oh dear
Anything that pi55es their deluded fans off is fine in my book. If you drive a coach and horses through the FFP rules, don't be surprised when your house of cards comes crashing down.
The interesting thing here is that NFFC's case shows a clear intent to gain a sporting advantage.
1) They delayed a player sale to deter that player transferring to a competitor team.
2)They gained increased revenue.
3) They used that increased revenue to purchase more players to provide a competitive advantage.
I'd like to think that means they'll kop for the maximum points deduction.
No wonder we thought we were in pole position to sign BJ. Sounds like they knowingly broke the rules in order to block BJs move to us when we probably knew they had little choice but to agree to sell to us in order to avoid sanction.
Relegate them!! The arrogance shown by this relatively small club since promotion is borderline embarrassing. Cheating b*******
I’m enjoying not paying my mortgage…because I’m waiting on my £400k accumulator to come in on William Hill, this weekend, guaranteed
Karma, do your thing.
In the majority of cases I would have some sympathy for the fans who cannot effect the mismanagement of their club but just have to deal with the outcome. However in this instance the deluded and self entitled Forrest fans are getting everything they deserve.
I'm sure we all feel a warm glow of pride in the full knowledge that our club has played its part in Forest landing themselves in the brown stuff today.
With this and QPR in the mire the year has started wellEnsconced on my Laz-e-boy, popcorn to hand. I’m gonna love watching this sh*tshow play out.
The fist of consequences seldom comes lubed, dear Forest and Everton

Think he meant one shot. In which case, spot on.

I don’t want to do that to reading, hating people picking our players for nothing. I get is a business and someone else would if we don’t, it’s just not how I’d want to do things personally.
I hated them signing Carroll for another 6 months, getting 4 loans and changing their manager whilst under restriction that they purposefully broke just after we drew with them. Meanwhile we lost a 40 yr old on 5 k a week and Shinnie who was sold to pay his wages killing off a revival of 10 points in 4 games. I'll lose no sleep.

He say out about being close to CBT
They turned down 250k. With wages, that's probably us done unless we free money up by shifting out.

Not convinced on him - feel it’s a loan wasted. Hope I’m proved wrong.
He's shown he can finish. I expect his goals are going to come as an impact sub rather than a starter however. He's a bit weak and will do more damage against tiring defenders who aren't chasing him about. Need more starting firepower bringing in.

I don't think he's done anything particularly wrong, but he doesn't look as confident or as match ready as Wildsmith. I didn't think Wildsmith deserved to be dropped, but I'd happily see him back in as I think he's the better of the two keepers.
Based on Warnes new contract tripped for some players on appearances, could Wildsmith be one? Do we want him to have it or do we want the wages for another player.

Made hard work of an easy 35 mins. Elder is bollox.

You've got me on a nostalgic trip now.
In 1984 I was hired for a 4 month voyage on a cargo ship to the Mediterranean and back. As usual I had little cash but much musical longing with little time to choose what to bring. Two cassettes and did not regret the purchase. As a result, Stewart Copeland became my favorite drummer.
Apparently learnt his unique drumming style in the Middle East as his dad was in the United States intelligence service.

Just ordered my first vinyl setup.
I pulled Dark Side of the Moon, Rumours and Songs in the Key of Life out of my Mum's loft, but other album recommendations would be appreciated!
Always liked Led Zep 2 and 4. Soundgarden - Superunknown, Pearl Jam 10, Pulp- Different Class, Charlatans - Some Friendly. Crosby, Stills and Nash first LP is basically California in the 60's on wax. Rolling Stones - Beggars Banquet and Let it Bleed are worth a listen.
Ziggy Stardust and Hunky Dory by Bowie are classics. The Curtis Mayfield reissue from 2019 has the full version of Move on Up which everyone should have. The Cure - Head on the Door.
I've got loads depending on what you like as a base. You might love Jazz

Has the Dark Side got a solid light blue triangle in the middle of the vinyl. Careful if it has, could be 350-400 quid in good nick.
Beatles Revolver and Rubber Soul. Only 'experts' mistakenly think Sgt Pepper was their best effort

Just watched a documentary on this guy. Half hour in appears he was with us for a couple of years on 200k a year. A- We had to be involved somewhere of course. B- 4K a week under the American owners. No wonder we wound up skint if that was prudent.
We had an old thread suggesting he cost over a million. Can't even remember him.

Not disagreeing, but based on what. Personally never seen (maybe notice) him play.
Based on his inconsistent game time in a struggling side. No more. I think we need a better quality on loan or permanent to push for top 2. If he costs 50k ok. If not we need the funds for now.

While talking about the issues/protest at Reading Robbie mentioned that 2 bids have gone in for his son Charlie, from Stockport and Derby.
Odd one. Think we need better. He'll get more games at Stockport.

Bet they loved the EFL when we sold Shinnie for 30k to cover Jagielkas wage till May. Then we were told we couldn't keep him, whilst they were allowed to change their management team, resign Carroll and bring in 4 loans. Bet they loved em when they were allowed to bring in 5 players at the start of this season as well.

Isn't January the last pay date for our Polish superstar who had a world cup to prepare that lasted a calendar year. I doubt Birmingham paid us 1.5 million and the last year of his huge wage. Anything from Knights fee for operating cost has probably gone there with a loan fee top up for John Jules. Efe Ambrose it is.

I stand to be corrected, but I believe it was similar at Millwall... Initially, their mob were just known as "Yobs".
It wasn't until that PO semi against us... and with acknowledgement to Graham Richards... that they became "officially" known as "The Brainless Maniacs".

That documentary of theirs were their wearing the surgical masks is a cracker. On the coach to Bristol and one of them snarls that their ready for it as they 'hate Northerners'.

Saveloy is for tourists mate. Get some pie and mash down ya, with plenty of liquor, that'll see ya right.
Once saw a documentary with Steve Jones from the Sex Pistols being interviewed in a pie and mash shop. Was shovelling the stuff down like Augustus Gloop whilst telling the interviewer he had a reaction to the sauce and would have a swelling in his hands the next day. Either very good or he's very stupid. Could be both.
