Ah ok, makes sense. Preston didnt have much to play for and beat us comfortably.
Birmingham & Swansea for us would fall into that category
No but the difference in that is Rotherham have fight they’d of got something against these tonight we didn’t as we have no fight

You missed Barney away too. I can see them getting 6 or 7 points now. Still means we need 4pts to stay up, still possible, but probably wont happen.
I just did games with teams having nothing to play for as Barnsley may
-
Rotherham : some of those they have left to play
Boro - Gibson? Hed love to send us down warnock ex Rotherham won’t be arsed if they lose and do Rotherham a favour
Brentford - won’t have out to play for other than resting for the play offs
Luton - nothing to play for
cardiff - nothing to play for
out of 12 I wouldn’t be surprised if they get 7 from that

Then we would have a situation that could be almost as worrying if that were the case.
It’s quite clear Morris is absolutely desperate to sell. The Club isn’t realistically going to progress in any significant way unless the Club is sold to the right person. We were told the Sheikh talks started around March last year. Alonso has reportedly been interested even before that. That’s well over a year so far, and we still have the same ownership and the same problems.
Two publicly failed takeover bids tells the world how desperate Morris is to get rid, and will sell to whoever can say they have the right funds. How much longer will we go on before we find someone who is genuinely interested with the financial means to support it? And what of the lost time we’ve experienced due to being involved in closing stages with parties who were never going to own the Club?
Yep it’s concerning which ever way you look at it! I just don’t think this will pass because I really don’t think he’s got the money to go ahead with it the same as the fake sheikh

I don’t think people need to be worried because can anyone actually see this happening?

I’m sorry, but this all absolutely reeks of some Fawazian dramatic comedy, or is it tragedy?
More and more alarming by the minute. I hope we, as fans, are ready to have to come together and look after the best interests of our club, because I feel increasingly sure that this is going to take us down a dark and ugly road.
He said no further comment since he’s not shut up he’s trying to show off, at first I was more than willing to give him a chance I still am but it’s starting to be more and more alarming by the minute!

Great news if the debts will be paid of and we will own our stadium again would be a good start

There’s certainly things of concern surrounding this takeover.
One that stands out for me is, why is Alonso such a good option now after Mel snubbed him to go with the Sheikh?
If it goes through we’ll all just have to take him as we find him, there may be some unpalatable stuff on the politics side, but we don’t really know his thoughts on this and we don’t really know what our previous owners political inclinations have been.
One positive is that he had a bust up with Chansiri over the appointment of Pulis, with Alonso wanting Paul Cook instead.
This at least suggest some knowledge and understanding of this level of the game and the type of manager he would be inclined to appoint!
Mel probably thought what we all thought that the sheikh was a billionaire and related to the city owners and we could potentially be the new Man City which was stupid of him and us for believing something good was actually going on ?

2/2 I’ve learned Alonso offer to buy #dcfc pre dates Sheikh Khaled - he shifted attention to #swfc when Derby deal looked dead. But key target now is promotion to Premier League, with improved foreign scouting network and more intl players central to plan.

Looks like he’s done an interview with a Spanish newspaper regarding the takeover.
Says the deal could be even be closed as early as tomorrow:
Only words yes but sounds promising in 1 days he’s been more vocal than the fake Sheikh let’s just hope there’s no dramas with this let’s just hope if it’s going to happen it actually happens and before the summer because that is massive
