James garner midfield lad having loan at Watford cut short returning to Man U to go out on loan again maybe here ?
That’s definitely possible

With Rooney saying 24/48 hours and targets lined up I’m surprised how quiet it’s been in terms of names being linked etc

Vedy good shout. Decent player and I think Eric Steele confirmed on the radio recently that McLaren era he was a target for us.
Even with a striker coming in though, unless they were desperate to get shot of his wages I'm not sure Brum would let him go to a rival on the cheap (which I imagine is what we're looking for at the moment)
They have hogan aswell juke was first choice but doesn’t seem to be now, I think he’d suit our style

Rooney confirms the players have been paid their December wages. On the January wages: "We wait and see. The important thing, and all we can do, is focus on our football.
WR: The players I want to come in are still there. Hopefully in the next 24-48 hours we can do some business to get some in.
So according to Wayne’s interview they have paid for December, the embargo was lifted. However no indication they are getting paid in January or any indication they are not going to get paid. I’m fairly certain based on his comments we won’t sign anyone.
Definitely he didn’t sound to positive

Cocu last January said next week we will sign someone all window we didn’t, let’s hope Rooney isn’t sold the same story

Sounds like it’s probably going to be confirmed on Thursday then. Shame we didn’t get to see anything of him really, but good luck to him. He’ll need it at Liverpool.
Why Thursday?

Can't understand why anyone thinks we are bringing players in? Or will be bringing players in?
We have just manage to scrape enough pennies together to pay our current crop of players.
The takeover is quite clearly not happening and Morris is not putting any more of his money into the club. So much so that he just didn't pay the players.
Unfortunately have to agree, Rooney is doing what he has to do force the owners hand and sound positive for the fans, he’s not going to say we’re skint we won’t bring anyone in... we had this with Cocu last January it was next week no next week
-
Only just seen that we turned down a million for him I’m hoping it’ll be at least 1.5 rising to 3 million and a sell on clause

I bet Shay Given is happy he stayed and was committed (yes he didn’t want to move) but could of easily gone!
bit early to sack Frank in my opinion though was always going to take time

Almost as important as paying the players is freeing ourselves of a transfer embargo - barely a week left of this transfer window.
That’s very true pal, I’ve been saying we need 1/2 new faces
