Patrick Rams reacted to CBX1985 in Paul Warne
I think I posted on here at the time a few days before it transpired, that Rooney probably did want to stay, but his going was inevitable. When Chris Kirchner was "supposedly" going to buy us Rooney was all in on the idea - and seemed fully on board. Had that not have been fairy dust of a fraudster, I suspect he would have done.
When that fell through, WR was somewhat tainted by it (I doubt any of which was his fault). Then when Clowes put his bid in and it was accepted, Rooney must have seen (or been advised) that there was no way Clowes was going to want to pay managerial salaries at that level (for an inexperienced manager, but with top level playing experience).
Clowes clearly wanted us to be normal - rather than Wayne Rooney/Frank Lampard's Derby. In those instances, it was both inevitable that he was going to leave - and he got to make the decision himself.

True ,not much loyalty in football. Apart from your beloved “Wazza”, who dumped us to spend more time with Coleen . Right ?

What!!!!!!
Just settling for the play offs, a club of our size?
Surely, it needs to be top 2 at the very least.😉
After all, the championship will be the weakest it's ever been with the big clubs going up and replaced with traditional championship clubs. If Warne can't get is in the autos against that lot, he needs to go. 😉

Patrick Rams reacted to B4’s Sister in B4 - for ever a Ram 🐏
He would be adamant (not the Prince Charming version) that the Rams are going up. He wouldn’t hear anything to the contrary. He would also look like the a DCFC Michelin man with numerous layers of scraves and flanges. I will be taking one of his scraves with me tomorrow.
Typing this has made me a bit sad. I would often buy Dan DCFC hats, scraves, hoodies etc for Christmas so he would be warm at matches. His favourite hat I gave him had a leather DCFC badge on the front. My dad told me he couldn’t find it before a match one day and was so upset he thought he had lost. It turned up at home a couple of days later. These memories tug at the heart strings.

Dear Daniel,
I know you've been doing quite a lot of work up there over the past few weeks, in helping us get to the position we find ourselves in. I understand if you had a night off when we played Northampton, you were probably too busy having a cuppa with Sir Brian & Reich Carter, but if you can see your way clear to have an unconscious word in each of the lads' ears before they step out onto the pitch at 12:25, to be the bravest, best versions of themselves for the next 90 odd minutes we'll all be eternally grateful. And if we manage to get what we need, you'll be up there, waving your flange with gusto and cheering them on with the rest of us.

Serves me right for skimming the thread and not reading it properly.

Haven't you ever noticed how it's done in the National League?

As already mentioned your proposal is virtually copied and pasted from the National League rule book.Only two divisions below Derby County.

What you've put forward as an idea to make playoffs fairer is already the case in the National league and leagues below.Virtually to the letter. Apart from only the team finishing top gets automatically promoted.

I think it might be because the EFL are.... (deep breath).... Short-sighted, useles, incompetent, buffoons who have no idea of fair play and who wouldn't recognise a good idea if it were gift-wrapped and accompanied with a large neon sign saying ' A GOOD IDEA'.

Coventry coming within a toenail of reaching the FA Cup final gives us all hope that with a bit or a lot of luck, one day we could make the final, then who knows what could happen in a one off game?

With any luck and a following wind, aided and abetted by a sterling performance from the lads, Posh v Trotters result will be totally irrelevant to where we finish in the League. We don't lose, we're up. PW never goes for the draw so we're all out for the win.
Job done. Now, let's all get to Pride Park on Saturday and have 30,000 Rams fans leaving the ground at about 15:15 totally hoarse.

Good point. I think we remember the Reading game because of the way the season collapsed in the last 10-12 games, well I do anyway. T going into that game we were on a shocking run of form. Plus, it’s a typically British trait to look on the dark side and imagine the worst.
This season is totally different. We’re in good form, we’re playing bottom of the league at home and we don’t need to rely on anyone else. When it’s come down to clinching automatic promotion we can get over the line. We did in 86, 87 and 96.

Me for one as I posted it in the Cambridge match thread yesterday morning - come on, keep up Roy, thought you were more on the ball than that 😂

It's this bit that concerns me most. Maybe the early KO will help, but some people seem to regard a few lines as part of the matchday experience these days and that can blur their judgement and fire up the aggression.
If you can't celebrate promotion without fuelling up, that's pretty sad.

So you’re not bothered about the majority of fans who choose not to (or aren’t able to) go on the pitch being able to show their appreciation one last time from the stands? You’re not bothered about the players showing their appreciation to the fans by parading around the pitch with their families?
I don’t have a problem seeing other Derby fans celebrating but I’d quite like the opportunity to applaud the players, and receive their applause in return (yes, I’m convinced they’re aimed specifically at me 😀) one last time before I put my scarf away for the summer. Nothing sad about that. I fact I think it’s a bit sad that some folk don’t care about the majority of their fellow fans or what the players might want.

According to the internet, he was only 1.7 furlongs out. For missing the target from there, he wants bloody shooting!

Brilliant defensive shift, with Louie and Nate adding the touch of class we needed to snatch the points from a Cambridge team who came to fight. All fans will doubtless be very pleased with the win, though I doubt many will say we played close to our best. Tough fixture and circumstances in which to do that though and I suspect the coaching team will be absolutely delighted with another clean sheet, as am I tbh!

I'm not sure Peterborough would rest anyone against Bolton regardless of their midweek result - they'll be pushing for 3rd as a minimum for the playoff advantages it brings...
COYR - let's do the job ourselves though, let the rest sort the playoffs out between themselves
