GB SPORTS reacted to i-Ram in The Administration Thread
I actually don’t think Q has played a blinder, and there are criticisms I could make (particularly regarding some naive comments about how long it might take), but I do appreciate what a basket case of a liquidation they took on. Morris left them with a crock of poo, and it seems to me he has been a pain in the arse subsequently in regards to a) quickly resolving the Boro matter and b) being more accommodating regarding the stadium sale.
You may recall that a few months back that you were arguing strongly with me that Morris had, and would have, no influence over the proceedings; that MSD were in control of the stadium situation because of their fixed charges, blah de blah. You were as wrong then as you are now in your back and forth with @duncanjwitham, who very ably popped your overinflated view earlier today.
It seems to me Q had no choice but to accept CK’s proposal, as he was the only one at the end offering to buy the club without the stadium.
My wife thinks you are a complete arse. Of course that is not my opinion as that would be against forum rules.

I can see your point, the best chants should push at the point of acceptability.
The beat her like an egg line just doesn't sit right with me, it's trivialising an individual's suffering, who has nothing to do with football other than her choice of partners.
The fact it's such a great rhyming couplet is probably why it took off, and I can't deny I've sung it myself in its early days, but times change, as have I.
It's not that long ago I was at Frankie and Benny's before the play off semi Vs Brighton, and the Brighton fans were singing a song about shagging sheep, knowing full well what the response song would be, and it was all done in good spirit, with no malice intended on either side.
Now you'd probably get your collar felt, and it's not even that long ago.

Personally, I've found @RipleyRich's posts to be informative so far.
I'd probably never have realised what merde we'd been left in without their input, so I've been very grateful for a new member to join up and share just what a precarious position we find ourselves in, repeatedly.
Now it comes to light he/she/they have recent experience of the merger and acquisitions business, I'm even more enthused to have them on board.

They're paranoid that Gibson starts threatening to sue the EFL again, if we're seen to welch on debts that he's had to pay 'Boro's equivalent of.

I love this. He came back in for us knowing we are likely to be a Div 1 team. He could have had Preston for less money and in the Championship.
He’s going to build Derby back to the big time, I can just feel it.
Please just get behind him and give full support from day 1.

Welcome to the 21st Century. Life is lived through social media. I’m guilty myself of doing it. I’m not proud, I’ve grown up a lot since then.
This is the problem with the snowflake generation we now live in. People getting offended on other peoples behalf. It’s a sad state of affairs.

CK's comments haven't caused any anger towards us,it's just opposing fans finding and deploying what they think is ammunition in an effort to wind us up...which some people on here have fell hook, line and sinker for.
C'mon folks,wise up.

I wouldn't worry, it's a natural defence mechanism, or a conceited strategy. Those who are 'anti' out of a defence mechanism, are those, like myself, who understandably thought a rich, local, loyal, fan, in charge of the club could NEVER hurt the club, so now naturally fear that anyone can hurt the club if Mel did.
Those who are 'anti' out of conceited strategy just want to be able to say "see, I was right about him" if it went wrong down the line.
This is just human nature.

The hard work isnt for nothing just think the fight and togetherness by fans, team and coaches may be what has kept interested parties looking at us when we are a dire mess. So not for nothing if someone buys us and we are not liquidated?

I have no idea why the EFL would agree to deduct another 15 points now, so it leaves us with a clean slate next season. We’re very likely to be relegated without any more deductions, and even still, if we stayed up and had -15 with further restrictions on who we can bring in, we’ll be more likely to lose players and suffer another long season battling the impossible. I genuinely think we’d be in a stronger position as a Club if we started clean in League One, than with a points deduction & more restrictions in the Championship.
