How come there's talk of a fee, is it compensation? I thought he was out of contract according to Wiki?

"On 22 October 2020 he joined League One side Bristol Rovers. Koiki made his debut for the club on 3 November 2020, coming off of the bench in the 65' minute of a 2-0 defeat to Peterborough United and made his full debut that weekend in an FA Cup victory over Walsall.[13] Koiki scored his first professional goal with the opener in a 2–1 EFL Trophy victory over Leyton Orient on 8 December 2020. At the end of the season it was announced that Koiki would not be having his contract renewed and would leave the club after just a year.

    Northampton Town[edit]

On 23 July 2021, Koiki joined recently relegated League Two side Northampton Town on a one-year contract after impressing on trial."

I wouldn’t be surprised (and hope) Bristol Rovers allow a few more. It says “typical away allocation” so maybe they’ll give a few more to the likes of Derby and Sheffield Wednesday especially as the ground capacity is 11000 and they only averaged 7500 in a promotion season last season.

Yes i thought it was a bit on the low side myself.

EU countries set their own rules for non EU immigration (as we always did), Germany obviously has rules allowing young British players in a lot easier than some

Also little to do with government rules, the limiting factor in this is the FA administered points system which is there to protect Uk footballers from foreign players coming in and taking playing spots at a lower level.

My sister had her horse box stolen.  She had it registered on so some database that people can contact to see if what you are buying is stolen.  Amazingly this worked, my sister was phoned up by the database people, was given the address where the phone box was.  Passed this onto the police, but they were not interested so it was an insurance payout.

Brother in-law then had his quad bike stolen.  This had a tracker on it so they knew where it was stashed.  Police again not interested.  So brother in law and his father went and got.  Found it in the corner of some field hidden underneath some rubbish.  I didn't ask if they took the shotguns, but this could have ended very badly.

What do the police do all day?

Back in the mid nineties a mate of mine saw the local scumbag breaking into his neighbours garden shed.

He managed to scare him of with  a loud Oi.

He then rung the police to report said scumbag.

    Scumbag was then arrested.

Police asked him to attend an id parade to pick out the offender.

Mate picks scumbag out of line up as man he saw breaking into shed.

Police then ring up my mate a few days later saying that they couldn't use the ID parade as supporting evidence as my mate knew who the scumbag was prior to the offence.

Scumbag released and off scot free.

Somethings you just can't make up.

Aren't you just on a massive floating hotel?

I know they don't suit everyone but for me the days actually at open sea sound the worst.

I'm sure he'll enjoy it. Not sure about the other passengers he might attach himself to ?

I guess it's the same with a lot of holiday things. Until you've tried it you don't understand what all the fuss is about. I love Walt Disney World (been 10 times but too expensive now) but had no interest before we went. Dubai and Vegas don't interest me but most people that have been seem to love then.

I was the same with Vegas, didn't really want to go (other than the day trip to the Grand Canyon.)

Just went to keep the Mrs happy in initially.

But really love going now can't wait until next time.

This year we are going to California, only ever been with work so we are doing the whole lot taking three weeks from San Francisco driving the coast right down to San Diego.

Spot on. I always remember the back-to-back promotions under Arthur Cox. After the promotion back to Division Two, our first game was against Oldham at home and we lost 1-0 at the BBG. It brought on gloom amongst many in the fanbase for what may lie ahead. It turned out to be the only home defeat of the season. We won the league, six points clear of Portsmouth and nine clear of Oldham who missed out in third place as there were no play-offs then. That also brought the Oldham home defeat into perspective for they weren't a bad side.

I feel pretty good about the transfer business we've done this week with the promise of more to come. But we're not going to be able to gauge our chances until we get some way into September. The team needs time to gel with so many changes.

However, I'm willing to stick my neck out and say that if we are there or thereabouts at the end of September then the Rams are going up. Bring it on.

Wish the lad well, he divided opinion long before the Joiners Arms incident, that was the cherry on the cake for some.

He's young, been through something that I couldn't imagine, losing his mum in his twenties, that doesn't give him the right to drink drive, although I won't deny him any sympathy and understanding either.

Getting battered week in week out by fans, completely unaware of his personal struggles, that cannot have been easy. Football fans tend to forget these footballers are real people.

As a player this is a great move for him, whilst some will argue over the quality of football up there, this would be a selling point as he has the ability to go up there and finish his career as a Rangers legend whilst on a decent wage.

50/50 chance of winning the SPL, throw in a few cups and oh, the chance to play European football.

It makes sense in a lot of ways and Glasgow is one hell of a city, love going up to Scotland myself, cracking country it is and a fresh start for the lad.

Whilst I would have preferred he went to Celtic, do wish him well expect for in the Old Firm games.

You were getting a like until you got the last sentence.?

I can confirm they did use a separate company, as my membership pack never arrived. I was referred onto them when I queried it. That might be why they used them, as they put the packs together and posted them out.

The packs themselves were quite impressive,  the content less so! I liked my keyring! ?

Lots of recycling of cardboard. ?

I believe the company (First ?), carried out other marketing work for Derby other than the Memberships. They are quite well regarded in the sporting world as i believe they handle all Liverpool's marketing requirements.

I attended one of their freebies last year at Pride Park last season and chatted to one of their representatives and was quite impressed with them.

I left her with a business card so if they needed my services they could contact me. Unfortunately i lost theirs when my luggage got mis-appropriated at Munich Airport.

Issue resolved. Panic over. Season ticket purchased. Happy man!

Now just have to work out how to get there from Bristol without a car.

    Trains are a nightmare ATM.

Anag doesn't West Country Branch of the supporters club pick up in Bristol?

i know it used to pick up in Cheltenham at one point.

I really like the potential signing of James Chester. 33 years old is decent age for a centre back in these leagues, and he's already played with Davies at Hull so should have a decent understanding with him from the off.

Played with Liam at Hull also so he knows exactly what his strengths are.

In fact we only need to sign Andy Robertson from Liverpool and we will have the set.?

Sheyi Ojo - winger released from Millwall, has had good seasons before but not so much last time out. Still only 25 and one we always seemed to be linked with.

(Dare I say) Cyrus Christie return if Byrne leaves? He is available for free i believe.

Aaron Lennon - played lots in prem last year, but maybe considered too old by promotion chasing champ teams at 35. Doubt anywhere would offer him 2 years, maybe we could take a punt.

Martin Kelly - released by Palace after barely playing last few years. Again may not have too many championship suitors.

I'd take Christie back in a blink at L1 level .

    Don't think he'd come though. £££££
