Think it was because Roger Davies had signed and was thought a better long term bet.
I remember seeing Frank batter Sammy Chapman all over the Shitty Ground in 1970 when Cloughie played him instead of King Kev. My first away game and a 3-1 win

That is a big game in my younger memory.

My late old man who was never a fan of Wignall, said if the King had played that day they would have needed Trent Bridge scoreboard to record how many Derby would have scored.

Have they twinned it with the Rose West Stand at Southend?

    Stacey-West Stand

This was the traditional home-end up until 2013 but now takes visiting fans who bring large numbers of supporters. Built in 1990, the Stacey-West Stand is named after two lifelong supporters - Bill Stacey and Jim West - who died in the Bradford City stadium fire. It replaced the old Railway End terrace in 1990, which had a goods rail line running behind the enclosure until the line was demolished in the early 1990s. The Stacey-West Stand first had areas of terracing at either end with a large area of seating in between so that supporters had the choice of sitting or standing at games. However, when City were promoted to the old Division Two at the end of the 1997–98 season, the stand was made entirely terraced. This was because a number of large clubs then in Division Two, such as Manchester City, Stoke City and Burnley were expected to bring large travelling support to the ground. This convinced the club that the Stacey-West stand should hold visiting fans, rather than a portion of the Co-op Stand. However, when the club was relegated back to the old Division Three in May 1999, a grant by the Football Trust partially enabled just under 2,000 seats to replace the Stacey-West Stand terracing which meant that, for the first time in the history of Lincoln City, it was an all-seater stadium. The stand continued to house visiting supporters until it was given back to home fans in the 2002 close-season. But at the start of 2013/14 season it was announced that the stand would no longer be housing home supporters but only used as an away-end for large quantities of supporters. As of 2016 the stand is used for home fans on certain games.

You need to have the original "ram pack" rubber bands for it to be worth anything.?

For you kiddies out there it strapped the 8k ram block into the zx81! Hitech indeed.

Yes got the RAM add on (of Course) also i have got the most valuable thing in there (so i am told), and that was the manual, learnt basic from it and now have a second income from being a techie.

My parents bought me a ZX81 (and then a Spectrum 48k followed by a 128k) back in the day.  I can remember waiting for 15-20 mins for a game to load from tape only to have it fail right at the end - then tweaking the dials a fraction and trying again.

The Amiga 500 with games loading from disk was a huge advance!

Still got my ZX81 waiting for the day it becomes an antique.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.

Man Utd only signed Maguire because he is English. And Maguire only starts for England because he plays for Man Utd.

Sancho and Rashford need to get out of there for their own sake.

Rashford wouldn't get a game at Heanor, most overhyped footballer in the last ten years.

I'd sooner see Ivan Toney get his England place.

Deffo on buy a sound car for £3-4k and run it til it's not viable any more. If you're prepared to take on the running costs you can have a prestige motor this way.

Clean it and maintain it and apart from wear and tear and the occasional fix they do fine.

Also overrated: warranties from used car lots, not worth the paper they're written on (but, as long as you understand that when you buy it)

But who buys the new cars so the old cars exist? ?

    Anyone go to this?

8 Year old me yes. i can remember it being a really hot day, in fact my old man took me to all three games including the one at Fulham the Saturday before.

The United game was special with us pulverising the side that two years earlier had romped away with the European Cup.

On the pitch for United was the holy trinity of Best, Charlton and Law., we made them look like selling platers that day.

A day i will cherish forever, the competition didn't mean much but the performance and the symbolism of the victory meant everything.

In Lampard's preseason, we beat both Southampton and Wolves and played really well. Then, in the first game against Reading, we were utterly dreadful but fluked a win. We then got completely outclassed and mullered by Leeds at home. It took quite a few games to settle down iirc.

That's why you can't draw too many conclusions from tonight, except that whatever system we play, we have to pass the ball better and create more chances.

In the promotion season under TBE we played pretty well in the friendlies only to be lying 21st after 9games with some less than glorious performances including a   3 - 0 kicking at Wolves. Suddenly came together though didn't it. Point is there were wholesale changes in the squad from the previous year and they took time to gel., but once they did and with the addition of Igor it went more than right.

Meh. A few smashed windows and other criminal damage is rather insignificant compared to what will come if world leaders (and the people who elect them - in some cases) cannot come up with a plan to stop doing things that exacerbate global warming.

Sure, they could protest in a Priti Patel approved way but that kind of defeats the point of protesting.

Hopefully they'll just glue themselves to something again.

Or pretend to as happened at the local car boot the month.

    Just political clap trap.

    Sad news this morning.

Derby lad, 20 years a Ram, record league appearances until King Kevin surpassed him, and a great wag to boot. RIP Jack.

Legend gone, I hope the club do something to mark his passing.

He still holds the record which will now probably never be surpassed:

Most league starts (although Zac has more league appearances by virtue of his substitute appearances.)

RIP Jack my condolences to his family

Has there ever been such a thing as a Home membership? Or did I dream that?

Would love to get a season ticket but because of prior commitments I can probably only make 1-2 games a month. Would be good to be able to pay a bit up front to get 24hr priority over general sale or something similar so I have a good chance of getting decent tickets for those games i can make.

Yes i have had one for the last few seasons.

But it looks like they may not be doing them this season.

Work stops me from going to many more than 12 games a season.

Usually 10% off and a free ticket match nominated by the club, priority on tickets available before general sale.

Usually i get a choice of a couple of seats in the East Stand.

Last season we had a scarf and key ring (+ some other goodies), also chance for hospitality places with a quiz and draw, managed to win one last season.
