    I thought I’d have a quick google and find out what’s the typical time for a football club to be in administration for and came across this.  This was published in February 2021 and Wigan came out of administration in March, I think, so making their period about 8 or 9 months.  We’re now 12 days short of four months, the shortest time so far.  The average is about 9 months, give or take.  Obviously we don’t know the ins and outs or how complex these may or may not have been.
    We know our situation isn’t the most straightforward with the number of companies Mel set up, who owns the ground (or who doesn’t), the amount we owe various creditors (inc HMRC), etc.  The administrators have been optimistic, maybe to allay fans fears, but I think shows that they’re far from stringing it along and there’s a long way to go before there’s cause for panic.
    And the maximum amount of time a club can be in administration is 18 months.  Just trying to be helpful ?.

    Morris delayed put us into Admin. He was trying to get as much money back as poss. By the time he finally went down the admin route we were a financial basket case.

    We can only work on facts Pete. No point in speculating.
    Fawaz did not put his Club into Administration. Fawaz identified someone to buy his mess from him. Perhaps he was asking a reasonable price?

    It's immaterial though isn't it. Mel decided to stop paying the bills and put the club into administration. Fawaz was a mess, no doubt about it, but he didn't decide to stop paying the bills. That's the point really, other clubs might have cash problems, but they aren't in administration

    No idea whether this is true, though I did voice a hunch to similar effect when Kirschner pulled out. If it does turn out to be true, Mr Morris is likely to be on the receiving end of a backlash no owner in English football history has experienced. I suppose if he intends to hide behind the locked gates of a mansion for the rest of his life, that might not concern him, but if he plans to venture from his home ever again, he'd do well to bear this in mind as it'd be extremely likely to get very ugly indeed.

    If anyone looking to become owners of DCFC had any serious thoughts that we might be playing in the Ch'ship next season, people might already question their judgement.

    Certain players in the premiership and championship would just be completing their 23rd pirouette after that challenge. I think he got lucky that Matt Clarke is a proper man rather than one of these professional footballers who fall over at a gust of wind. ‘A tad rash’ is perhaps appropriate to describe it. ?

    I think it will be something like this:
    Money Men = Tepper, Morgan, unknown
    chairman = gadsby
    fronters = moxey , Rush
    ceo = Glick

    He needed things in place for January. That's more than likely not going to happen now. Personally, I would be very surprised if Wayne is the manager in L1 next season. However as another poster has mentioned, the new owners and Rooney and would need to agree an amicable severance.

    Well yes i think he would but he has to be seen as coming across positive, now it's not his U.S buddy getting the reins he will have some excuse or other up his sleeve.

    Not sure where that figure came from either. However the point about a very well paid Rooney not being in charge of a L1 club strapped for cash, does seem likely scenario. The Kirchner deal was probably the only way Wayne could have perhaps stayed next season, but now that one has fizzled out, it seems reasonable to expect an affordable, but experienced lower league manager on L1 wages, to take the reins next season.

    Good point. It seems an age since we had that sort of player, maybe going back pre Clough. Even if we had some money to spend, would a Steve Howard type player come to a DCFC in decline?

    Merry Christmas to all.  Lets hope next years a better one on and of the pitch.  Unless you happened to win the Euro millions this year and bought your own private island hence the moniker, then your sorted.
    Special Feliz Navidad greetings to Gibson, Couhig, The EFL, Our fan club at OTIB and fans of any other club who come on here on the Wind up on pretence of sympathy.  Have a drink on us ya ball bags.?
