Effectively he said P&S is not fit for purpose. The loophole to sell stadiums being an example of that. He also said that parachute payments don’t work because it means that other clubs can’t compete. So they acknowledge the issues at least.
Also said they don’t encourage disputes between teams and that there’s an arbitration process to deal with them which is objective and impartial and apparently works.
Finished that they don’t want to lose Derby but they have to follow their insolvency policy consistently.

I did think this.
Why can’t Leeds claim something when we beat them in the play off semi finals, I’d say they have more grounds than Boro. The fact they’re Premier League now should have nothing to do with it.

They will have not played in the league in almost a month and have been hit pretty bad with covid recently. Fingers crossed that works in our favour.

To be fair to Mike Ashley, he genuinely didn’t know how bad the conditions were and once made aware did everything to correct it. He didn’t hide anything from the media and invited them all on tours to see it for themselves. The company has grown at a ridiculous rate and one individual cannot oversee it all at a detailed level. He did also get rid of some of the people who should have been ensuring the standards were better.
