Did you bother fact checking before making that claim?

Barnsley, Carlisle, Charlton and Oxford made just as many signings as us (12).
Bristol Rovers, Burton, Cheltenham, Exeter, Portsmouth, Port Vale, Reading, Shrewsbury, Stevenage and Wycombe made more signings
Of the sides signings fewer players than us, the majority signed 11.

Maybe I put it badly. Most teams have added players to an already solid base. We had to add to just have a team. Hardly enhancing,  rather a new team. A few left over from last year, but filled gaps with what we could cobble together

The point is we SHOULD be as dominant as them this season in this league. As I’ve emphasised many times, it’s truly f****** awful. The gap between this and the championship is huge. It’s probably the worst league one in years, we absolutely should be dominating it with the quality at our disposal.

I think the fact they can spend more money on one player in a season that could buy our team and stadium in a one suggests the difference between the dominance you expect and reality  Derby are a big club that have been through turmoil. Currently a band of misfits in my eyes, a band of mercenaries that have been poached, freebies and potentials.

They have been bought together in the hope that they can be gelled into a winning team.

You argue that the rest of the league are awful, but the difference is they have been pretty much together as teams for a while with the odd addition, they know the league. They play tough (not pretty football). Most rely on sitting as a back 11 then hitting on the break. They are hard to break down.

People who think this league is a walk over, are deluding them selves.

He's right. Any clown who dances after successfully doing their job belongs in the circus.

I used to dance after I fixed my aircraft. Because,  I knew (depending where we had landed) I could then go down the Vegas strip, or into San Diego or Rio, knowing I had done my job. Terrible job, but someone had to do it.

I would highly doubt we would have conceded 5 or 6 with a few younger players in there.

Playing a "strong team" of old guys with their, what? 6th game in 3 weeks? That's foolish.

    Who mentioned 5 or 6?

    Because Warne is clueless.

Weston earnt a place in the team but Warne showed on Saturday he has no intention of playing him.

    Terrible management.

I think the result on Saturday actually suggests he got that one correct. Had he played Weston and we lost, you would be the first one to complain he played a youngster in an important league game.

If Carlsberg did an “All time greatest headed goals at pride Park Stadium” highlights reel, that header from Collins following that inch perfect cross would probably go down as one of the greatest headed goals ever scored at Pride Park Stadium since 1847!

    … or something.

    👀

There was me thinking Pride Park has only been around for 26 years or so!!!  You learn something new every day.

But arguably playing the worst standard of football of a Derby team ever…

I wouldn’t mind the league position if there was a positive direction that the team looked like it was going in, but it doesn’t look like there is a grand plan or philosophy under Warne?

I am guessing you are quite young. Either that or you have supported the Rams for quite a short time.

    I remember far worse.

Derby being in L1 is like Spurs in the Championship.

What do you think their supporters would be like after season 2 in a league their whole club structure doesn’t support?

True. However the only reason we are in league one is down to the points deduction (unless you have forgotten) and we are now in a rebuild phase. Patients will be required.

On paper we are a bigger club than we are in, however all these fans who say we are the richest club in the league say so without any proof what so ever. Only the owner and his accountant will know the truth.

We have been placed in this situation due to piss poor management in the past. We now have to manage the club and our expectations

Using that definition, you could probably say there is unrest at pretty much every club in country as there is bound to be at least one person unhappy with the current position/manager/playing style/squad of players. It’s only a concern when it becomes “widespread unrest” which, of course, is subjective and much more difficult to measure.

Agreed, but it all starts somewhere

Again with another 'what is' - what is a good financial position these days? For any club.

We're the healthiest we've been for decades. Virtually no legacy payments, cleared a heck of a lot of debt that we'd otherwise still be on the hook for, no contractual obligations to players  we can't afford, a small operating loss which almost everyone makes...

I think you have answered your own question there. Clowes has cleared a lot of the Morris debt. DC is no MM when it comes to money/assets if you look at the rich list. So if he has purchased the club, ground and cleared or still clearing debt. He is probably quite rightly cautious about how he spends his money.

Healthiest we have been for decades? really, do you have access to the (behind the scenes audits)?

I am just pleased we have a club or have we forgot where we were 18 months ago.

I was taught that patients is a virtue, let's see.

What is "a good number of fans"?

Even if you'd seen 30 people doing that (which I doubt) that'd only be 0.1283% of the number of Derby supporters who turned up at PPS last night.

Unfortunately it only takes one to cause unrest.

I still find it hard to fathom that a good number of fans are actively having a pop at our owner.  This is a man who did not want to get involved, but simply had to because he knew what the likely alternative was.  It also pisses me off that folk think he should sell up at the earliest opportunity because he didn't spunk £3m on a striker in the summer.  Only he, along with his accountants, truly know how bad it was when he started his due diligence, so he'll do whatever he can to ensure we don't get in that state again.  If we're moaning at anyone, perhaps we should be moaning at the head of recruitment for not finding the wheat amongst the chaff, in the last transfer window.

As for bringing in, and for the time being, sticking with Warne.  If you had the choice between a novice manager or someone who has 3 promotions from this division, to get you out of it, who are 99% of people going to choose??

Oh please, for goodness sake, stop talking sense.

Seriously exactly what I have been saying. Well done.
