Don't know why anyone would care but his missus has started a YouTube vlog channel, which he features quite heavily in.

Reads like a list of misinformation from a year ago. Vaccines stop you getting re-infected. Cloth masks work. It didn't come from a Chinese lab. You won't need booster jabs. There won't be vaccine passports. It's about protecting the elderly, we will only lockdown to protect the NHS. It's just a circuit-breaker. We haven't been having parties in the middle of all this.
Today 800,000 re-infections have been added to the official figures. That skews a lot of stats.
Who knows what to believe. But let's not stop the conversation happening. Don't protest to silence. Debate them.

Debate them? You're having a laugh right?
You seem to be forgetting that we have a generation who believe their knowledge is so superior to everyone else's that they don't need to waste time debating things. All they have to do is tell you that you're wrong, label you something derogatory and then that's the debate won.
In relation to the actual article you you was discussing, I find it absolutely hilarious that the BBC think they are in a position to be fact checking anyone when it comes to reporting on Covid, they've been the biggest propoganda machine since the 1930s.

Other clubs fans I talk to at work don't seem to realise that, whatever we did wrong, we have been punished for under the rules of the EFL. When you can explain face to face to them what has happened to DCFC in terms of the disciplinary process we have endured, you can see the light bulb flicker.
Points deductions, transfer embargo, wage caps, no covid money, its all been done (or ongoing). We have taken the full might of the ruling body's wrath for Morris' wrongdoings and are now in administration facing possible liquidation.
Gibson knows full well that the longer he forces his mate Parry to stop us being taken over, the more chance we will fold. Even though we have been punished. Its as if our survival would be seen as somehow we've gotten away with it.
There is no point talking to complete and utter morons on a Boro forum who have no idea and no interest in actually looking at the facts.

I don't mind admitting that this is really starting to have affect on my mental state.
    It's becoming tiresome.
I've felt genuinely depressed for days, with nothing at home or work to make me feel down. I have this constant cloudy feeling in my head and I've realised its the bloody football.
I'm on my phone when I should be working, when I should be sleeping. I'm even playing with my son less and less as I'm listening to radio Derby every night or starring at my phone.
I wish I could switch off from it all but I can't.
This isn't a cry for help, just hoping by typing these words I realise how stupid I'm being ?

In the late 60s early 70s the Council started to Re Develop Derby City Centre, The Germans in WW2 couldn't have done a better job when flying over in their Fockers.
Olde Derby was bulldozed down and we were left with what's best desribed as...WTF have you lot done, Derby could have been a little like a York or Chester, Not as good but on a similar vain, The history we had was put on the back burner in the name of progress.

I get that you would try to negotiate the best deal and brinkmanship can help but...

There are so many advantages to one of the bidders getting this done a few weeks ago...

Our chances of staying up are reducing with every player sale, that leaves a a vastly reduced income.
We are losing assets at reduced prices, therefore you are getting less for your money
Now our academy is being torn apart
Out of contract players can now sign pre contracts elsewhere
We can't protect our best young players values by extending contracts
You would have had a better chance of not being beaten to it by another bidder
The club's name being dragged through the mud a little less
    Better reception from the supporters

So it begs the question...why? What are they hoping to gain? and is it worth it?

I think you've  completely missed the point of my post and to be honest I found your reply a little snarky.
I posted it for people with an open mind and Interest in the subject for their consideration with a link to the video, should they care to watch it.
I drew no conclusions just posted the main points from the video as I saw them.
Of the 17k+ people that unfortunately died they, on average died at or around the average life expectancy for a UK citizen.
I have no axe to grind on the subject I try to follow the data from reports and research on the subject, now being in an extremely high risk group to any infection I have a vested interest in it.

Has anyone seen the result of the FOI request to the ONS, the results of which I was made aware in a Youtube video by Dr. John Campbell on Thursday.
Firstly, I have watched a few of his videos and he doesn't appear to have an axe to grind and tends to present reports and research, backed up with sources, without putting a spin on it.
The FOI request was for the number of deaths in England and Wales during the pandemic (Jan 2020 - Sept 2021, q4 2021 not available yet) where Covid was the only cause of death recorded on the death certificate. No co-morbidities, no dying with rather than from it.
    Staggeringly the number was 9400 (2020) and 7971 (2021 q1-q3) total 17371.
The average age of death in the UK from Covid was 82.5 years (2021) which is actually higher than the average age of death for all causes.
Incidentally later in the video he presented a report from one of the UK's leading oncologists who estimates issues with treatment and diagnosis during the pandemic period will give rise to 50000 excess deaths from cancer.

When I moved to the US in 2006 people over here had normal teeth, even on TV.
Now it seems we have gone down the US route of everybody having bright white veneers.
Sarah Parish, in the dreadful Stay Close, looked utterly ridiculous her teeth were so white. Nobody born in England in their fifties has teeth that bright.
Then the other day I was watching The Apprentice (don't judge me) and it seemed 80% of them had teeth whiter than any naturally occurring substance found on planet earth. For half the program it's all I could focus on, they look preposterous.
    When did this start happening?
And more importantly, does anybody know where I can get mine done on the cheap?

"Footballers are not always empathetic by nature. The world they know and come from is competitive, cruel and often unfair. It pays to be selfish. Rooney thrived at the top end of it on the back of rare talent and an insular streak. Now, as he prepares to lead his team in an East Midlands Derby game at Nottingham Forest today, he is relying on something softer and deeper.
He has already spoken to parents of his players about their mental health, asking them to look out for red flags. Local supporter groups, he revealed on Friday, have his phone number.
Rooney has paid for vital training ground equipment himself and has promised football staff made redundant over the last 12 months that, if brighter days do return, they will be the first ones back through the door.
In short, Rooney has vowed to carry the load of Derby’s troubles on his own shoulders and on the field at least there has been a revival."

I think you can just stop there.
I remember the sucker punch of the 2014 playoff final. It hurt not just because of what happened in the 90 minutes, or Keogh's mistake, or Zamora's finish, but because we were a sensibly-run club living within our means against a team of over-paid and over-priced players clearly there to pick up a pay packet. It really, truly felt like the 'wrong' team won, and QPR were effectively rewarded for cheating.
At no point did I ever want QPR to be liquidated, threatened with expulsion, or relegated to the third tier. My gripe was never with QPR fans, and for the crimes of Tony Fernandes, I wouldn't want a community to lose its club, Loftus Road to become derelict, or see 140 years of history turn to dust just because of the immorality of a handful of board members who happened to be at the club at the time.
It's not worth engaging with any Boro or Wycombe fan who cannot see that; those that want the scene of the crime punished rather than the criminals themselves aren't true football fans. They are prepared for an entire community to suffer as the fall guys and girls just to make themselves feel better about their own club's shortcomings. There is nothing you can do or say to change their mind, it's already made up.

I don't really believe they do want change. They have been warned to improve their practice after every administration but they just continue to duck things up.
That's because it's a club of members protecting members' interests without any independent arbitration.
They can bang on about processes and LAPS as much as they want but at the end of the day these are appointed by them and if they don't like the results they just plough on until they find a panel that agrees with them.
It's all corrupt and needs calling out as such.
