Its a very good result. Agree that we will play better teams in the league but don't think saying its only salford is fair. Some youngsters were starting their first game and as an 11 that side wont start a game as a collective in the league this season
Players that played tonight will play this season again but we also have, roos, knight, davies, stearman, byrne, knight, bird & lawrence to come in & colin & shinnie to start. Plus Ravel to get up to speed fully. 
Tonight was probably not far off the weakest side rooney could legally field with the restrictions on senior players.
Good result & good experience for players that will need to come into the side on match day in the league

Gary Bowyer has come across as a bit of sore twit in his post match interview. 

Put a tenner on us but they claimed the bet hadn't gone through so I did it again so effectively £20. Cashed out one of them at half-time to get my stake back and cashed the other out at 2-2 so made £31 profit. And we won the tie, but not the match, so happy with that.
Come on you young Rams! Excellent night. The sort of match that can really kickstart a season and bond players and fans together.

Stretton makes some great runs off the ball. Wonder if he’s got that ice in his veins required to become a regular goalscorer. 

Like I said before, no issue with it. The amount of penalties we haven't got from players being too honest, it's a nice change to actually get one. And it was more than made up for by their penalty. 

Some good pens there. At least we wont make an embarrassing appearance on the next series of the class of 92 

Ravel looks genuinely happy here. Really hope we become a proper home for him.

I’m liking Ebosele.

One think that really annoys me is that we commit silly little fouls on players that are going nowhere just inside our own half and it gives the opposition the opportunity to fire it into our area from a set piece which we know we are poor at defending  

I just put a bet on us to win, but we have to be more forward-thinking. Way, way too much turning backwards. Louie Watson perhaps the biggest culprit, who's being a lot too safety-first. Needs to be braver on the ball and always thinking of going forwards. As do the whole team. We need to put them on the back foot, move the ball quickly and risk a ball that might create an opening.
