DavesaRam got a reaction from Alan Ramage 4 EVA in Peterborough United vs Derby County
If you happen to be in the Peterborough or Cambridge areas you might notice lorries with "Mick George Skips" written on their sides. If I were Mick George I wouldn't want to boats about having that as a personal habit, but each to his own!

Easy to say after a loss. If we'd started with Collins and had didzy on the bench he'd have been equally slated.

I know, hence why I said he isn’t blameless. There is a reluctance/stubbornness/inability to chance tact during games which is hurting us, my point is it’s not as simple as most seem to think. It’s multifaceted, some of that is Warne, some of it is the recruitment restrictions, some of it is the squad, some of it is the opposition etc etc.
It’s frustrating and disappointing to be in this poor form, but the world and the club won’t end if we don’t go up this season and people should in my opinion look to keep that perspective. Plus…. we still COULD!

for those saying it's nothing to do with fitness amongst the older players and that its a lazy excuse, i can tell you for certain it is true from my own experience. I played football at a good semi pro level when i was younger, as soon as i hit 31 recovery times would get longer and longer.
by the time i was 34 my body was in bits and recovering from games took an age. you could spend all week recovering from games & because you aren't training properly you naturally lose match fitness, so it makes every game harder to complete. that is how fitness affects older players, you could be as fit as you want but the issue is recovery times. sometimes you can hardly walk after games.
i know what i see, and i am seeing the same things amongst some of our players that i saw when i played football

My man of the match - Mick George. He looked to be all over the field.

This season wasn't a free hit when we got rid of the free hit manager and replaced him with a League One promotion specialist on a 4-year-deal. We firmly nailed our colours to the mast when we did that.
I think we're witnessing a painful regression to the mean. We were clean and clinical in our run of easier games but it's starting to unravel because our squad is too disjointed.
I don't agree that we "should" be pushing top 2. Almost every player in our squad wouldn't look out of place in a top 2 side in this league, but our squad is too much of a weird mix of grafters and tidy footballers for us to trouble the more coherent sides. Doesn't help that half the squad is learning how to shave and the other half is eligible for a free bus pass.

What would happen if we changed things up at half time instead of the other team?

And the script continues. That was a blatant peno, confirmed by the replays

Bird has been excellent so far. We need to improve our final cross or pass though. Having a shot might be useful too! Good performance though, by far the better team.

Harsh on Sibley to lose his place to white who is yet to do much - hopefully today he does

Like some kind of naive young man going back into the dating pool after being dumped, I'm really excited for tomorrow and ready to get hurt all over again. Hopefully, this week we'll turn up on the pitch and see it replicated in the stands. COYR!!!

You seem to be on a “let it go” thing at the moment. Have you been watching “Frozen” again?

I went about 3 or 4 years ago and there was a pub on London Road open to away fans who did a fantastic hog roast. Can’t remember it’s name. The pub, that is, not the hog!

DavesaRam got a reaction from S8TY in Fleetwood Home Sat 18th March 3.00pm
We beat Morecambe by (a) playing football and (b) by the Morecambe players being on the bus home after our first goal. Losing to Wycombe wasn’t the players, it was the tactics. Instead of playing football, which we gave been good at, we tried to be Wycombe, and we aren’t nasty, conniving or cheating enough. And sadly we have continued with the “run a lot snd kick it hard” philosophy.
For goodness sake get the ball on rhe floor and play football with it.

Yes Lampard did have options. He could and should have started with Marriott and Waghorn. They probably couldn’t last the 90 minutes, but were scoring freely. And Villa’s reaction when they finally did get on the pitch confirms that they should have started.
We should have hit them hard, got in front then changed the strikers over, which is much better than saving your better strikers for when you are chasing the game. Oh, and neither should Frank have left it soooooo late to bring them on, ie too late.

DavesaRam reacted to RoyMac5 in The Sibley Enigma
He didn't get a chance to do anything but run around aimlessly in the 1st half, no football was being played. When we needed him to play 2nd half with Didzy and Knight or Dobbin then we only had Collins, who continued to run around aimlessly!

DavesaRam reacted to Zag zig in The Sibley Enigma
He could’ve chased harder but there were a couple of times he did, right at the off he was at them and closed the ball down; unfortunately I think the lack of energy and service from others, led his enthusiasm to wane.
Just my opinion of course, but Knight offered no more than Sibley today, for all his energy he wasted several balls forward. As for Collins I know who’s more likely to score. Sibley behind McGoldrick would be my choice next week too.
All those that say he’s had his chance, Sibley barely gets a run in his favoured position, so some chance, he very often seems to be the fall guy; yet he’d give anything to be successful here, even if asked to play out of position.
One day a manager might persevere with him, really hope Warne does.
