Watched both games so far and certainly against Blackpool the passing was too side to side and not incisive enough.
I do wonder if the age balance is right. He is asking this group to get him out the division but liklihood is over 3/4 of the squad wouldn't feature in the Championship. It woild need a radical overhaul again. I can't see Forsyth, Smith, Hourihane, NML, Barkhuizen, Collins, Waghorn, Thompson, Bird (likely sold on) being in a starting XI a division higher.
The captaincy thing was an odd one too. I've seen under 12s teams choose their captain by vote but am pretty sure at this level the Manager appoints the man he sees as an extension of him and his values. Can't help but think this might have narked Sonny Bradley who may have been brought in on a Captaincy promise but it hasn't materialised. All what ifs and maybes and we will probably tank Burton by 5 with a Collins hat trick

Absolutely made up by this news. Clowes Developments have seen the potential in Pride Park with that purchase and i wouldn't be surprised if the Plaza idea comes back in to the reckoning once stability has returned.
What we need now is the players to return on Monday and Rooney to confirm that he is happy with future plans. Then let the fun begin with the free transfers arriving!!
So excited for these next few weeks!!

Isn't Carvalho off to Liverpool? Can't see him playing there much..
Yes. Will happen. Their back 4 is way off prem. Ream was hopeless last time. Joy of parachute payments

If this is the best in the Championship. Oofff. Fulham need to spend big to stand any chance

Where Eagles Dare on Amazon Prime is worth a watch. Crystal Palace nearly went

Form over last 10 games:
Derby 17 pts
Hull 11 pts
Reading 5 pts
Peterborough 5 pts
Barnsley 7 pts
Keep that momentum and with 4 to go we will be out the bottom 3 and Hull will very much be involved.
What remains the same is we have absolutely nothing to lose and all to gain. For all intents and purposes we should be dead and buried cause of the deductions but an announcement of a PB, come out of admin and Rooney announce he has got Tevez to sign for the run in.
Game on

We don't do that here in the UK. 1+1 always equals two... plural... "Maths".
?
I was just quoting the Cambridge English dictionary. Raise it with them

Has anyone done the math on Boro's FFP for the last 3 years? They have had a splurge this year. Wouldn't surprise menif they need 5 mill from usbto bring them under the threshold. The Wycombe claim is purely him on the bandwagon. EFL are accountable there for not applying the points deduction

The noise so far has been amazing. We will survive and the EFL will get their way and stop us adding to our squad. They have delayed because Gibson is holding them to ransom.
The noise needs to come when we have new owners. That's when to hit the EFL.
Join forces with brum, reading and go for the EFL.

Have you been to a home game this season?
Yes. Had a lovely time. Your point?

With home wins vitally important, how can we get Pride Park rocking? So loud the players hear it in the changing room.
Get people in earlier so that build up is unique.
can we steal something like this?

I think the direct line from the EFL to Steve Gibson may well be running hot. The last thing the EFL will want is for Derby to go under due to the spotlight that is on it currently. Formed in 1888 and one of those founder members goes to teh wall when people are waiting to rescue them? Wow. They will be queueuing up to be chair of the investigation group!
If they allow it to happen then the argument for an independant regulator just grows stronger and the government will come at them hard. We all know that football doesnt want that because of how secretive it is. Example, how on earth can Chelsea sit with 1.2 billion in debt but suffer no consequences? How is that a level playing field? I know they can do it because the accounting practices allow it but as soon as a regulator comes in these things will be ripped apart as they would question the integrity of the competition.
I actually think Quantama have played their hand well so far, yes they could give us more information, yes we would like them to be transparent but to quote a great poem by Rudyard Kipling,
"If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you"
It is clear that the EFL need to govern and bring their members in to line but the deadline set by them is probably scaring them more now because Quantama can sit there and say, we have the means and the people, we just need you to give us the green light.

I think Everton will go back for Bobby Brown Shoes. 2m compensation is cheap for a top manager. Rooney said in his interview with Ed Dawes yesterday that they "are building something special here". He is also being advised some wise old folk who will tell him Everton is a poisoned chalice

If this is the case and the boro and Wycombe claims are what's causing the issue why aren't we bringing claims against villa and QPR? Surely a fan based lawsuit against them wakes everyone up and starts the waves rather than a ripple. We need to shut this down

This is definitely Rooney using a bit if his Sir Alex experience. The decision you would hope was discussed by the coaching staff.
Sir Alex made Cantona captain after his ban for the Kung Fu kick and after he had asked for his contract to be terminated. He lead them to the title.
John Toshack named Craig Bellamy the Wales captain ahead of Giggs. Gareth Bale captains Wales despite having zero interest in playing for Real and they got to a semi final.
I am not saying Lawrence is in this mould of player but divisive players who split opinion have captained sides throughout history, some with great success.
Paulo diCanio, Duncan Ferguson, Jack Grealish
Rooney et al work with him daily and they know the club has stood by him
Good luck Tom

More a question or a "does anyone know". Mr Cocu lived not too far from me and I regularly sae him running round the village and also in our local Morrisons.
I presumed he had gone back to Holland once his employment ended to be with his family but I have just seen him running passed my house again (hell of a pace too!). He was also in full DCFC training kit
Anyone shed any light?

He needs to go. We have tried the "we play my system" route before. I'd be giving Big Dave the job. He did an unreal job at Wednesday and played good football
