Not sure about this. I know the squad is a little behind in preseason but would have preferred a full week's training before the Oxford opener.

Have to agree. I don’t see what playing away at Alfreton Town 3 days before Oxford is going to achieve.

Why don’t we just accept the fitness levels we’re at and back our players’ quality to get us through the first few games and build the fitness naturally through the first month.

  2. There has definitely been some seats removed since away fans went into the corner, hence the new sell out attendance of 32,200 instead of over 33,000.

The S on the The Rams in the east stand has changed, part of it is now just white paint on steps whereas before it was all seating. This might be the case for the D on the south stand as well.

Impossible to know, and we won't know, until the seats of the people not renewing are released.

My last count showed there were 6864 seats unallocated.

If you take remove the seats for the away supporters, plus seats used for segregation, you could make the argument there are 30,000 seats available to home supporters which would give a total of 23,136 allocated seats as things stands - allocated seats = new season ticket holders + renewed season tickets + not yet renewed season tickets.

I know a large number of people - both new season ticket holders and not yet renewed are waiting on a DD option before purchasing which will lead to the second spike in sales. If that doesn't come before the deadline then it will be interesting to see how many people can't make it.

It looks as though there has been a big uptake in new season tickets, someone else who studied the seat map from last season did approximate at 3k upwards early into the process. The number of allocated seats from 7th July to 18th July grew by 1222 so it wouldn't be surprising.

I do think a lot comes down to how quickly the club can set up the DD facility.

These figures are taken from Birmingham at home last season, we know that game sold out

    Attendance: 32,211 (Away 3,145).

I remember sell outs used to be 33,010 not sure where those seats were lost.

So on that basis it is 29,000 home tickets available?

It’s strange but also highly refreshing that we haven’t heard from D.C. at all.

    Agreed

I just think it would be good to hear a few words from him ahead of the season, then to not hear from him for 9 months would be perfect

  5. I suspect fans (that predict 20k STHs/32000 opening day) will be in for a shock once the fri 29th deadline drops and the non renewed STs become available.

By that date my guess will be 14000 STHs

Opening day if Oxford sell out their 2k I reckon 24,000 in attendance.

Does anyone know if unused STs are counted in the attendance as it's a purchased ticket? Our 3 will be unused v Oxford

Anyone have any idea when new cards are likely to be posted?

    Thank you for your email.

I cannot give you an exact date on season ticket delivery due to the high demand, but we are currently printing and processing season ticket cards and they will be with you before the first home league game.

    Kind regards,

But that’s my point, at the moment it’s the membership that’s on sale not the away tickets.

where does it say memberships are staggered sale? it states 'Priority windows following each away ticket on sale announcemnt'

unless i'm misreading it i think anyone can buy an away membership tomorrow at 10am

  8. 17 minutes ago, Ramos said:

does this mean the membership I bought in jan which said it was valid for 12 months is now not valid?!

unfortunately for you and many i don't think they will be. as this season it is the club providing the membership, this was previously outsourced to another company

  9. 1 minute ago, Foreveram said:

I don’t get why they are staggering the sale of away memberships, it is after all only the membership that is on sale, not tickets with a limited number. Unless they are limiting the numbers of members.

they aren't. that's how they will stagger the first few away games

  10. Buying an away membership if you didn't go away last season, what does it get you and is it worth it?

I would break it down to what games you want to go to.

I would say allocations under 1500, little to no chance.

Allocations over 3000, probably not needed.

The sweet spot will be the mid range allocations, 1500-3000. This is where your away membership will probably get you last dibs on tickets.

1st 2nd and 3rd round of the FA cup may also come into play if we're away.

If I’m reading things correctly does it mean, as someone who attended four away fixtures last year, it’s not worth me buying away membership this year?

I do have a season ticket.

You would have priority over someone that buys an away membership but didn't go away last year, or someone that only has a season ticket.

How useful that is is another question.

Might be an image think as well. Some might not think it’s “manly” enough to have a soft drink rather than a pint. ?

I prefer a glass of red wine (especially with a meal) but I don’t have a problem with having a soft drink even if everyone else is drinking alcohol but that’s mainly because I’m usually driving.

100% this is correct. the social disapproval aspect of not drinking in a group that are

  13. I know it's all relative as what one pint does to one person will be completely different to what it does to another.

if someone that never drinks, 5ft 10st wet through, knocked a gamma ray back then who knows how'd theyd be feeling

I guess I just don't see the point in having one, the only thing it does it makes you want a second.

4 or 5 is the sweet spot, as long as its good beer. ?

Maybe some people just enjoy the taste and the social aspect rather than the need to change their physical or mental state (I.e. gets little bit/lot drunk).

yes agreed. if I didn't drink it would be the social side that was sorely missed.

so based on that, if you only have one, you can stand and talk to people and have a soft drink can you not?

so it must be the taste?

Hey I like a beer at a game why should rest us be punished for people that drink to much keep achole at games but they could have the power to say if some clearly had enough to say no I am not serving you anymore.

I like many beers at games, and in general, but recently have been trying to cut down.

Whilst avoiding events or situations, you often hear, 'just come and have one'

I'm curious, and this is a question to people that, 'just have one beer'

Is there any real point in having one beer? When you've drunk up there's no real difference to your physical or mental state and you paid £5 for the privilege.

    Prince of Wales, isn't it?

Buy tickets from the bar, leave from the precinct.

Could well be I've never used it, just noticed the sign on the main round last season near that mini roundabout
