They say the clue is in question, or answer in this case. At some point, which is now probably the end of the season as we have funding till then, we will have to accept 'a deal/best deal' and take the -15 and crack on. We can't start next season in admin so something will give. It's that balance for a bidder, is -15 in League one, a division we are likely to be in anyway, offer value in saving say £10M?. On the face of it I would say yes. £10M (or whatever, £5M even) goes a long way in League 1, new squad which will be needed as no-one is left, re-supplying the academy etc etc - for an extra year or two in League 1 to get a decent ground zero base and then push on. On balance, if I was bidding, I think I'd save the money and take the points/wait and see if the miracle happens and we stay up. Can't see a quick resolution given that answer from Q.

i thought you can start a season in admin, i don't think you can start two consecutive seasons in admin?

All I would ask is, what can the admins realistically achieve in the next 4 weeks that they have failed to do in the last 4 months?

I think the likely outcome from this sorry affair is liquidation of Derby County as we know it and we start again in league 2.

There are too many things that need to fall into place and 3 bidders getting frustrated all for different issues.

Nothing, other than the admins will be 4 weeks richer.

They are going to decimate the club, my only hope is that Ashley is waiting in the background for a reduced price football club with next to no assets or stature. my guess or hope is that this is already agreed. I no longer believe the hold up is EFL, Boro or Wycombe, but it is only the administrators and Mel Morris.

Well it’s possible they know each other, still  makes it very tenuous indeed.

just because the MP’s son is anti EFL doesn’t mean anything. So am I and I’ve never met Mel Morris. So is Margaret Beckett and she  isn’t a Tory, most of our local MPs are anti EFL.

I don't like it at all, its all very convenient and too much of a coincidence in my opinion.

so what are the facts here?

this Jimmy McLoughlin guy has rocked up out of nowhere and is now running these twitter meet ups and so on.

the administrators were appointed in September 2021

only 5 weeks later Jimmy McLoughlin is sat in a meeting / discussion with Mr Carl Jackson, CEO and founder of Quantuma, see link

    https://www.quantuma.com/events/long-road-recovery-considered-response-autumn-budget

Patrick McLoughlin, father to Jimmy, has in the past received large sums of money as donations from Mel Morris

So what is Jimmy's agenda here? he will have you believe it is to save Derby County.

My guess is he is being paid by Quantuma and or Mel Morris to push the anti EFL, Boro, Wycombe motion hard to fans, and thus deflecting on the actual shambolic job the admins are doing as they line their pockets by the hour.

I'm now as sure as ever that Mel is still pulling the strings, still with no concern for club or fans, as he hopes to limit his losses on the MSD loan. These creditors (excluding MSD) wont get paid enough, we will not exit administration cleanly, ensuing League 1 and minus 15 points come July.

  4. If, like me, you're sick of reading about the following...The EFL, Quantuma, Gibson, Middlesbrough, Wycombe, Couhig, Parry, Birch, Points deductions, Liquidation, Mel Morris etc. etc. etc. then thought this might be a good idea for some light hearted Friday respite to pass the day before the nerves/stress of tomorrow and then the ensuing week of more of the the above.

Be interesting to see the different way fans make it to a Saturday 3 o clock home game.....

    I'll kick off...

With the kids (5 & 7) it would be a 25 min drive to park up in Chad. Fish or Doner and chips from Chad Fish Bar. Walk over the bridge take the kids to McDonalds. Walk to the ground for about 2:15 to watch the players warm up.

Without the kids, bus into Derby for about 10 o clock. Copious amounts of Lager normally on a route something like Standing Order, Jorrocks, White Horse, Neptune. Taxi /speed walk to the ground for 2:58pm

    Up the Rams!

  5. Three little birds, class song and relevant (instead of SBW before kick off would be ideal)

Rise up this morning, smiled with the rising sun
Three little birds, by my doorstep, oh
Singing sweet songs, of melodies pure and sure
Saying, "This is my message to you"

Derby, don't worry about a thing, oh
'Cause every little thing is gonna be alright
Derby don't worry, oh, about a thing
'Cause every little thing is gonna be alright
