There is always going to be segregation, the stadium capacity is about 33,000, there is only 2,500 tickets left but if we sell all  of them the attendance is not going to be 33,000.

32,200 is about max. the attendance for Birmingham at home last season.

so if port vale have only got 2700 i make that about a 31,800 sell out.

you said earlier there were just under 2,900 home tickets left.

i make that 28,900 sold (5 hours ago)

will 1100 go between now and kick off?

    edit

if there's 2500 left now that should be 29,300 sold so far

I am looking forward to seeing them in the club shop tomorrow. That will be the litmus test for me. It's not always easy to decide how good (or bad) they look online. However, just to slightly disagree with myself, I do like the look of the away shirt.

in person the red one is by far the nicest imo, it has a bit of textured detail in the material. the home tyre marks look better in the flesh, the black and green looks too much like a training top for me. all would be improved by a sponsor. home keepers kit is smart.

  3. Just been in to look at the kits, for me this is an area that needs improving on. Whilst each kit is nice enough, there’s no thought process behind them imo.

The home kit, the 3 items, 2 are all black. The away kit, 3 items, 2 are all black and one is dark green. Out of the 3 kits none of the socks are light coloured/white.

The away kit, with the home how it is, should be a direct opposite so a dark top, light shorts and light socks. The 3rd kit should be something quirky or one to split the opinion.

  4. Singing doo wah diddy diddy dum Diddy do

He bought a beanie hat, then he bought another 2

He looks good (he looks good)

He looks fine (he looks fine)

Paul Warne is on my mind, did we say he’s looking fine?

When you have a £ shop budget then there's only a certain area you can shop, Making silk purses out of sows ears can be a time-consuming effort if at all, Talent in the football field either becomes an expense venture or you work within the means set out by the Chairman.

DCFC and LR had done a tremendous amount of work scouting, Ringing players/agents, Begging other teams for loans, What we have is a team on paper as good as any and arguably better that the rest in League1, What we haven't been able to do is come to terms with the style of play, Physicality and pace in this division, LRs mantra is keep ball and play through the opposition, Charlton and Lincoln away shows what happens when you lose the ball, Shrewsbury and Fleetwood shows what happens when they pack their defence.

Referring back to the "silk purses" we have them, They just need that little bit of education and mental attitude of how to go about this division, Paul Warne I would have thought knows more than most of what's needed, 1st to compete, Then to beat the others, Will he succeed...who knows, Would LR have succeeded...again who knows.

Reading the minutes that have been posted I get the feeling...rightly or wrongly that LR was finding things a little harder than maybe he 1st thought, His applauding all 4 quarters of the ground after beating WW went unnoticed by most who were there, Picked up by a poster on here, I'm sure that was LR saying thanks to all for your support.

Warne is able to mix his game up with different set ups, Teams who have watched us and knew how we played will now be wondering how will Warne set up against us ?

I read into that slightly differently, more of a thanks specific to the result and not the support in general.

The support got us over the line in Wycombe and Peterborough, certainly not his tactics

  6. Somebody show me where Clowes says it has to be promotion this season? He’s previously spoken about a time for patience and stability

This season is preferred, but if it’s next season or the year after then so be it and that fits with the 4 year contract.

Maybe he wasn’t confident Rosenior would get us up in any season, I’d have to agree if so. The tactics he employed would never have got us out of this division on away form alone

I'm pleased this has happened I think like me D.C watched the Lincoln game and thought wtf was that!

It was easily one of the worst performances in recent history

Cracks were also papered over against Peterborough and Wycombe at home, and if we’d lost 4-0 to Plymouth it wouldn’t have been harsh on us

It was time for the change

  8. assuming he's going to watch the games back starting with Oxford, what an absolute mixed bag of performances and results he's got to go off.

for what its worth i think west brom at home was the best we've played, Lincoln away by far the worst. everything else in between with fleetwood and shrewsbury particularly painful viewing.

So are you saying Warne isn't currently under contract at Rotherham and free to take another job as he wishes?

I didn't say anything about his contract.

If Derby have asked Rotherham's permission to speak to him which I'm sure we would have done, no rules have been broken.

I'm not 100% sure where you're going with this.

  10. anyone holding that last day of the season interview against him needs to get their head out their asre

early indications and from a Rotherham perspective he is man of morals and dignity. in that split second, whilst upset about his own teams fortunes, of being asked he probably believed we stayed up due to Mel Morris' immoral ways and bending of the rules. can anyone really disagree with him?
