If Thompson can stay (unless he's gone and i missed this) no need for Shinnie, little Liam is a much better player. Keep the money and spend it elsewhere, keepers to start with.

Not bothered if we dont. He seems to be a private man so we should just be thankful and let him get on with it quietly with his plans whatever they might be. I am just relieved this nightmare is over. Enjoy the w/e

Yes, we've agreed to disagree on RBR team culture - like we're grown ups ?
Drive to survive has overall been a great thing for the sport, however I do wish it didn't have so much "reality TV drama" to the editing and way it presents narrative - there's always been enough of that bubbling away under the surface anyway (for me the skulduggery has always been a part of it)
I hope you have a fantastic time at the grand Prix.

You are right in terms of generation but there is hope because the Netflix fan generation will help. I have allways loved the sport but my lad never really showed much interest until lockdown and he started to watch DTS. Last year we went to Silverstone to see the real thing  and he loved it, when i suggested French GP he was properly made up. Going back to your point, his generation, a millenial, racism, sexism, homophobia, prejudice in general, is not something they want to be associated with and will let it known as well, and rightly so. This being said our opinion differ on Reb Bull, there is always something isn't? Something to work on?

As I reflect on the DC takeover I see it as the end of an era. An era that initially promised so much but ultimately only delivered one trip to Wembley Stadium.
The cost of this day out was enormous. It cost the good name of our club. It cost our country millions in lost tax revenue. It cost our club's suppliers money. It cost the livelihood of loyal DCFC employees. It decimated the fruits of our academy's labour. It drove a wide wedge between our club and its governing body. It damned nearly killed our club.
Was I caught up in the previous owner's bullpoo and untruths? Yes, to my great shame, I was. I believed him when he told us we were being run within our means, that we were complying with p&s or ffp. I thought he's "one of our own", he won't see any harm done to us. I was taken in by him, I was very wrong.
Thankfully that era is now over and a new one begins. I hope, as with myself, many fans have had their reality well and truly checked and had a recalibration of their expectations.
What is important is the survival of our club, our family heirloom, the love of which we shall proudly hand down to our children and grandchildren.
Thank you Mr. Clowes for giving our club, our heirloom a future.

Had a bottle of wine so sorry if I'm not completely coherent but thank god for that. I've shed a fair few tears once I saw the news, the sheer relief of seeing in black and white (so us) that derby county has been saved. The club for all of us means at times everything and I keep thinking back to that fulham home game for that perspective.  Relegation almost a certainty, but a momentous last stand by the players who dug out a performance and fans who created an absolutely unreal atmosphere, you'd have thought we'd have won the league but we'd merely delayed the inevitable relegation. To me that game was the essence of what the club meant, everyone standing as one, giving everything on and off the pitch, passion backed by an almighty roar and thank god we've got the security of that happening again next season.

I honestly thought post Kirchner that it was pretty much it for us, I could envisage a scenario when it was too much money compared to assets and no-one would spend the necessary amount to dig us out of the enormous hole Mel left us in. DC's statement sets an excellent tone but also makes reinforces perhaps how close we were to extinction. DC bailed us out when it seems like no-one else could or would. He deserves our full backing next season whatever happens on the pitch as we should just be grateful we can return to pride park, with pride at remaining a founder member of the football league.
