I must say the naming of the variants kind of passed me by a bit...but if Kent was Alpha from back in January and Delta is Indian now in June, I wonder once we get to Omega (Googled it) what will happen. those times when we cant travel i feel the variants provided a small dose of escapism, chinese, thai, brasilian, kent, indian, i preferred the old system.

 Live performance and the ultimate proof the country is gagging for it. Last night on Leicester square after 9pm when a (good) band busking stopped, the crowd joined in with the Hare Krishna complete with tambourine, little bells, robes, the lot. Surreal. I told the rest of the famliy if ever there is a proof the country needs a party, it is there in front of your eyes. Does anyone want a leaflet?

As i typed it, i thought someone will pick up on this. After 2 cancelations, finally got to see a live West end show last night the wife had booked yonks ago. I am not really a fan tbh, rest of the family is, so i get dragged along to those things usually. Duck me it felt good to be out, drink before, seeing people, seeing a live performance, the joy/relief on the faces of talented people performing. Loved it. Really hope when they reopen PP it feels the same.

latest example bottom of uttoxeter new road going into town. They have turned a busy spot into a nightmare. For some reason, no idea why, the roundabout had 3 lanes and they have closed the middle lane and guess what at rush hour it is stacking up on uttoxeter road, who would have thought?

add to this the budget "overrun" on the A52, the kingsway traffic lights that have been turned off for 5 years after creating another huge bottleneck and you get the picture. We live in a zone where residents parking is restricted, they stopped permits and it is all online, all good so far. However, i dont think they told the wardens though, we are getting tickects even though we have got a permit. They are useless, waste of ime and money. Rant over.
