Given the speed at which things seem to happen, I've got to assume that the current plan is to go into next season with the aim of simply fulfilling fixtures with a squad made up of mostly untested players.  Of the 8 senior pros we have got, Bielek is to be loaned out and others will inevitably be sold to buy us more time.
The number of players we have or haven't got or the amount of kits we've ordered etc wasn't really the point of my post, it was the different media stories coming every few days telling us we've had a £40m bid, a £50m bid, now potentially a joint bid.
Wake me up when we actually have something confirmed, I can actually buy a season ticket and not concern myself with finding a new hobby for a Saturday afternoon.

Is that as well as or instead of the £60m bid Appleby put in?
Seems to me like even at this late stage no one really knows whats going on.
Meanwhile the clock keeps ticking, we have 1 kit (on order), 5 players (loaning 1 out) no pre-season friendlies and a rapidly approaching new season...

Haha yeah I was referring to an earlier I post I made in which the media told us that Appleby had submitted a £40m bid only to tell us a couple of days later he'd submitted a £50m bid.  Now its a joint Appleby/Morgan bid.
Getting fed up with official silence, the crap in the media and time running out.

Not like you to just trot out the media line... ?
8 is 60% more than 5, so 60% better in my book! ?

Surely we have to prove funding and have a competitive squad assembled by then.

    It’s not clear from how sky word it, they say “in talks, in negotiations, fresh approach” but nothing concrete. Here’s a tweet with the video segment in;

If anyone thinks Mike Ashley is the bloke to buy us in the next 2 weeks, that ain't happening. Whilst he holds the position of not wanting to pay the administrators a penny, and low-balling creditors, he will be bottom of the pile.
The only way Mike Ashley gets us is if the club goes right down to a liquidation deadline and the administrators agree to only taking a percentage of their 'earnings' as part of the rescue deal to stop the club liquidating.
We need someone other than Mike Ashley if we are to start on anything other than - 15 points and have a chance of putting a competitive squad together and keeping Rooney for the coming season.
Mike Ashley is always waiting for that deadline. He does this multiple times a year. He must be thinking Kirchner has pushed the deadline so close that he now stands a chance. I have nothing against his approach. He's a fine contingency plan to have, but we need someone else.
    In my opinion, of course.

If we've got no players its gonna be worse than that, we can't just throw the kids in

'Bolton were forced to call off matches at the start of the 2019-20 season amid welfare concerns about large numbers of young players having to play against senior professionals in league matches.'
My depressing guesstimate is that we've got until the fixtures come out to prove we can build a squad and fund it for the season else its, bye bye.

It’s disgusting that people can be treated this way ( I have a small business) but the fault is in a system where a man with the worth of around 500 mill ( even if it’s dropped considerably now ) can run up these debts and walk away , I don’t think it says too much about Ashley that he wants to be saddled with as little as possible of another man’s debts when buying the club and saving it from going under , even if it’s for the motive of building it up to make a long term profit , do you really believe ck or any of the other bidders are not trying to pay creditors as little as they feel they can get away with ?
not one of those bidders is buying the club for the motive that they feel the creditors have been wronged and they want to step in and do the right thing for them, certainly ck is doing the absolute least he can without incurring a points deduction which impacts on his business plan,
the creditors and derby county have been shafted by Morris we should not and can not judge people like Ashley and the others on them not wanting to pay for Morris mess ,anyone buying derby is buying another man’s debts and a business with next to no worth and assets apart from a decent fanbase which gives potential for future if run properly

What the hell am I reading?
Are people actually forgetting the role the EFL have played in the legal proceedings against us that rumbled beyond the last transfer window and put everyone off making a bid for us.  Delays that saw us lose Jagileka and a goalscorer, plus half of our amazing academy.
And that's after the legal proceedings against us for the ground etc that led to the delays that led to the late points deduction that led to the legal proceedings that led to nobody putting in a acceptable bid until a month or so a go.
The fact we didn't go down the season before was 'regrettable'.
Blame Mel, absolutely, but to call the EFL the boogeyman or a smokescreen shows a complete lack of understanding.
    Christ.
