RamLad1884 got a reaction from Comrade 86 in Derby v Peterborough
Not going to begrudge this loss. Two very good sides toe to toe today. Props to Peterborough they got us back for earlier in the season.

RamLad1884 got a reaction from Wsm-ram in Tyreece John-Jules - joined on a 6-month loan, extended to end of season
Actually have a sneaky suspicion we might sign him on a permanent deal on a free (presumably with some future add ons/sell on).
It’ll be interesting to revisit these two posts come the end of January.

RamLad1884 got a reaction from Crewton in Wondering what if...
Good figures, although the key numbers on that are at 5 and 6 instead of 1 and 2.
The strongest teams in the division spread their goals amongst the squad. What happens if/when Rhodes or May get injured? Suspect Blackpool and Charlton would have some difficulty replacing them.
I think there is only one attacking player we could not afford to lose to injury and that’s NML. Any of the other players we could probably patch up with other players fairly easily (from a goalscoring perspective).

RamLad1884 got a reaction from Carnero in Eiran Cashin
‘The Seagulls have attempted to strike a pre-agreement for Derby Countydefender Eiran Cashin over the past few months for a fee in the region of £4million, though those talks have recently collapsed due to the good form of the League 1 outfit. There is an expectation that the interest is likely to be reignited at the end of the season.‘

There's a lot of truth in this. It may be that everything is going fine and there's no issues, but maybe you will hit problems. Maybe the local authority will respond to your needs, maybe you'll feel unsupported.
If you feel like the children aren't getting the support they deserve, look into requesting an advocate for them. Someone independent who will only focus on their best interests. If the advocate is on your side, the local authority will be hard pressed to ignore them.

@David Not much I can add in here by way of advice more than already has been given, but talking as a Dad first and a Lawyer second, stick with it.
The process in this country is difficult and at times (being generous there) you will think the local authorities and the Court’s processes will seem outdated and excessive. Best advice I can give as a layperson is speak up if something doesn’t seem right or you have questions. You will find they are all helpful and have plenty of support resources but they very often will not utilise these unless prompted.
It’s a strange concept, having the same care and emotion for a child when they are not your own but it’s obvious from where you are with it there is never a reason to doubt yourself. A child remembers a single kindness shown to them and can shape their future far beyond what any person would expect.

Feel good factor can be a huge huge consideration for a player. Out of the clubs linked with him, West Ham is the only one who seem to be having a stellar season by their standard.
Brighton are doing well but struggling to emulate their accomplishments of last season. Even now, the pro/cons of Derby or Brighton have changed significantly since the last window.
Can’t see him wanting to go for a relegation fight in the championship either.
Gut feeling is he will wait until the summer, if we fail to go up, he leaves with blessing and well wishes for giving it his best. If we go up a long term contract and the chance to be part of the backline for years to come

RamLad1884 reacted to oodledoodle in Can we finally admit get it wide/cross it in works in League One?
That's why I like Ward. His knee-height whipped in crosses are really dangerous.

Says it in the title really, we’ve become somewhat specialists at ‘Warneball’ and the art of putting the ball in the dangerous areas and it seems to work at this level.
Something must be working if we get the likes of Wilson and Thompson getting on the end of these crosses despite their diminutive heights.

Think that ship has already left the port. Their recent form means they are relying on teams around them to drop points in order to stay top
