It seems to me that the standard of the officials in this league has attracted a new level of 'professionalism' from the clubs that we're playing against.

In recent games we've seen officials intimidated into giving decisions, big and small against us. Ipswich showed us several examples of the dark arts last night, diving twice for penalties, but only one being given. Committing bad fouls, then pretending to be injured, to avoid a deserved yellow card. The final embarrassing incident in injury time, when FOUR of their players simultaneously when down with cramp, like they'd been hit with a deadly nerve agent, obviously under instruction, to waste time.

But it's not only the officials getting conned, a quick flick through my recording of the game on my return home tonight, showed the ineptitude of the Sky commentary team. They showed pity for the four hardworking Ipswich players who got cramp at exactly the same time, they also claimed that the Derby player didn't mean to hurt the Ipswich players, whilst getting fouled by them. But, the one that takes the biscuit is the summariser claiming that it was ok for the Ipswich player to let Smith know that he was there, with that savage tackle.

I think if the old quote 'what comes around etc' is true we are due a lot of soft penalties in our favour by the end of the season. I thought the tackle on Smith was awful

I only saw the highlights of both. Seemed a very familiar away performance at Cambridge until the defensive howler and things went our way at Accrington with the two penalty misses. Obviously the home defeat to Port Vale was very disappointing as was last night’s performance. I just want our players playing in their best positions and in a system that suits them. I don’t think under PW they currently are. As has been said, we might have to wait until January for him to bring in Rotherham-type players that suits his style of play ?

Not really, I thought Ipswich are a far better side that we have played so far, thought they were better but we played ok. It’s difficult when you change a system and players, good players were bought to fill a side playing possession football. Warne’s play is different and the players are beginning to adjust, NML seems to be 100% fitter, Smith seems a better fit, we are getting more out of Sibley.

January is going to be a very important window for us, couple of good Warne like signings and we will be in the playoffs, otherwise we will still be in and around them but I think we will be in L1 next year. Remember a couple of weeks before the start of the season, would have struggled to field a 5 a side team. All things considered getting promoted was a big ask, and it’s still not out of the question. I liked a lot of what I saw against Ipswich apart from the lack 0f a cutting edge

  3. It must be difficult for the players, first trying to get used to 0ne system and then another. Thought we were generally poor today, Port Vale were more together and understood their position and roles better and despite not really causing us big problems were the better§ side. They were also smart, they understood the ref and played to him.

what must the ref have thought when the away end sang the referee is one of our own, shocking. The first pen was not a pen, but he was influenced and accepted that influence. No issues with the second pen it was hand ball.

we had innocent collisions given as fouls, mostly in favour of the away side but we had a few as well. Then he let go the professional ones which should have been a yellow, Port Vale were guilty of 2 or 3 of them.

Collins was not a red card, the the defenders injured nose (he collided with another defender) saw Collins slam his hand down put 2 and 2 together and made 5.

there is a positive point about the ref, I doubt if he will ever have a worse game.

for the next game I would move Knight to right wing back and Roberts or Fozzy to left wing back, I would put Corey smith in the middle and NML up front with Dobbin.

if the red is resindered I would keep Collins in but keep the same as above bar NML and Barks doing the left wing back role. We were to exposed at the back today against a poor attack

I just want to say how lucky you are to have Paul Warne as manager. I've supported the millers for 69 years. Obviously, I've seen managers come and go during that period. As far as I'm concerned, and many other fans Warne is the best manager we've had.

Like Derby fans we went through some dark times. Administration points deducted, lost our ground, forced to play in Sheffield in an athletic stadium. No atmosphere, 4 years in the 4th division.

Paul has many qualities. Excellent staff management, a workaholic. He's articulate, honest and will live and breathe Derby County.

I thank him for all the memories, 3 Wembley wins 3 promotions and I wish him well and as a consequence wish the Rams well. I've never had a second team, but for the first time Derby County will be my second team. I look forward to seeing Paul succeed.

Hopefully Derby will be promoted and we survive in the championship and look forward to see you at the New York stadium.

    All the best.

    Rojo,

I hope you appoint Liam, fantastic coach and fantastic person

  5. Feeling for Liam this morning, I like him and thought he was doing a decent job, time will tell if Warne can do better, if he dosnt then we will look a little silly.

i also hope that Liam stays, I would still like him at the football club, he is the type of person with the right personal and work ethic that we should build this club on. Unfortunately I expect him to leave, if he does he goes with my full gratitude and admiration

  6. I have been on the Wycombe website, some are balanced , some hate us as we are the biggest cheats in football and some are deluded and have an issue that we are a bigger club than them, one even commented about our time wasting??

i really dislike Wycombe, I dislike their owner. I really would like to see them get into financial trouble, but that is unlikely as they can fill their carpark. I live near Wycombe as well, awful place .

so who are the 50 fans able to go to the away game, remember get a train as their isn’t any parking
