All I can think of is Paul Warne must have been visited by the Ghosts of Derby's past last night after watching that

Hands are tied behind our backs because we offered Warne a nice juicy contract to tempt him to join our club. As much as I can't stand the football being offered, I believe we have little choice other than to keep him until the end of the season unless we fell well away from the top 6. I also believe Warne seems to be the type of chap who would walk away from a job if he felt he was not delivering his aims.
 
I personally don't like his recruitment policy of buying older players on bigger contracts. I've seen it too many times over the years where we've bought too many twilight career footballers and feeling more disappointed when they are not performing well. The balance of the squad doesn't look right to me. The best teams I've always seen have a good blend of youth, prime and experienced players. We have too many over or approaching 30. I've never believed in the "experience buys promotion" idea. Has it ever worked for Derby in the past? It only seems to result in a bloated wage budget and not being able to shift people along.
 
The Waggy situation has annoyed me and provides more doubts about PW. I'm really glad the player is back and we are lucky to have brought him in after what happened originally, our manager outright dismissing him at the first opportunity. It makes me wonder how many good players have we may have missed out on because Warne prejudged their character. To say he's a people person, why would you flat out refuse a player of that calibre and not speak to them about their situation. That fortunate piece of luck has already saved the manager from more criticism.
 
Ultimately he just isn't the manager for me. I can completely understand why our owner went for someone like Warne. On paper he's a great fit. Unfortunately now we've digged deeper into his playing style, tactical (or lack of) knowledge and recruitment policy, I don't think he is the right fit for the club.

He has improved the state of Pride Park pitch with less football played on it.

I love King of Rome.
The ref was a right Charlie in Turin it’s a shame he didn’t fly away before the game started. 
 
Let’s face it we got punished by a dodgy ref then and the EFL are still punishing us now with the dodgy ref’s we keep getting because the game has been corrupt for many years and little Derby are where they are because that’s where the football authorities want them.
As Man City can break over 100 rules and still go unpunished.
Yeah I would love to hear King of Rome played, even if it’s just played when using our new identity colours on RamsTV or when showing history clips on RamsTV etc.
And I still think as I mentioned on this forum a couple of years ago that Derby County should utilise our current local bands in Joey Greener’s The Public Eye Band, Marseille and the wonderful work of @leamram etc. Plus the other talented Derby bands / musicians I haven’t mentioned.

A remix/rock version of the Derby Ram would be great, I've had a few goes in the past but to no avail without it sounding like Whisky in the Jar

Not sure why Warne supporters take it so personally when people point out how poor we are at the moment. Yes I'd rather we did well under Warne. But we're not. Yes I'd rather he turned it around in 2 weeks and proved me and his doubters wrong. I just don't see it happening. I'd be the happiest guy on the forum if he turns out to make a success of it. However, there's nothing about any game this season that's given me any hope at all.

Oh so me wanting him gone immediately means I'm not a true Derby fan? What does collecting money have to do with anything? I've had a season ticket for over 20 years. Exactly how much money do I need to raise in a bucket before I'm allowed to say we've been awful under him? Give over.

Listened to all 5 tracks on Spotify this morning. Good work, although in truth not my kind of music listen. If it’s of interest my wife liked Day trips to the moon and Back in the big time. She only heard those two, but commented that it sounded a lot better than the crap I usually listen to 😂
