Which is understandable if they were being left out of the first team squads so they could play in the U21 games. However, more often than not they're left on the bench for when we go "3 or 4 up". Except the times we have been 3-0 up they've still been left on the bench. They also go unused in the cups.
DRobinson - 4 cup games on the bench and not used and left out completely for 3 cup squads. Left on the bench for Carlisle (2-0) and Barnsley (3-0).
DBrown - last minute sub in 1 cup game, 17 mins in another, but an unused sub in 5. Left on the bench when we were hoping to get more than a point against Lincoln (we only used 2 subs)
Fans are typically more patient when youngsters are put in the team. Warne could even use it as a reason why he needs more time. Stickign with his expereiecned players it's all or nothing -fail and he's sacked. If he introduced the likes of DRobinson and DBrown into the team he could point to that and say 1 more season and this squad will have improved and be enough to take us up.

The problem here is that Warne has absolutely shot himself in the foot with his comments at the fans Q&A. He admitted his mistakes in not recruiting sufficiently last January, surely he would've took heed and remembered that?
Sure, we haven't got the resources to spend the big bucks on someone. But we desperately needed a first team striker in to provide competition and cover for Collins. As said, that Georgie Kelly has gone permanently to Carlisle, Burton have signed a handful of strikers there was free scoring Chris Martin available on a free. There's been plenty of options out there who have gone to clubs who get a fraction of our gates so surely have even less available budget It's so frustrating, let's hope that Waghorn and Washington are back and firing sharpish.

Let's hope Leeds demand £5m and 200% wages for it to happen.

How? We are a league one side, with a moderate budget, a playing environment has very little to do with it for footballers nowadays sadly. 
I'd love us to keep our best players but for any side in League one, selling your youth talent for money is what keeps you going, just ask Peterborough. 
At this point, that's all we are and all we can be.

Best midfielder at the club. Leaving as won't sign a new contract. Good fee. Keep the player for the rest of the season.
He came through the ranks, stood by us when we were on our arse, does his best, good egg arond the place, getting a bigger wage in a higher division, club doesn't lose out.
Max Bird comes out well, Derby County come out well.

Really odd one for Bird. Knight must have sold Bristol City to him. Otherwise I can’t see why he wouldn’t wait until the summer and see which option is the best.
He clearly doesn’t feel any strong feeling for Derby anymore, otherwise you’d think he would have waited to see what league we’re in then signed a new deal if we got promoted.

I’d take that, although there’s 3 strikers you’ve named with 3 very different playing styles, so it’s interesting to see what approach we’re going to take.
Also, a £1mil loan fee for 4 months of 32 year old Michael Smith 😂😂😂😂
