From the man who said Ashley was nowhere near interested... Nothing story really, sure bidders want it as cheap as possible but they are not stupid enough to lumber themselves with a further 15 point deduction, and less chance to revive the club and a return on their money.

Garbage story with a sensationalist headline to sell a paper.

take this with a pinch of salt but ive heard from my source thats usually correct (can go through my history to verify) that mike ashley and binnies are the 2 confirmed bids. Appleby and his consortium backed out. Personal opinion is that Ashley will be the new owner

Strange because Ed Dawes just said he had spoken to them and they haven't.

Having a look at Millwall's squad, they've got a fairly strong group, interested to know if they have any injuries at the moment. Wil be a difficult match.

This is the team they named for the postponed game at Blackburn.

Millwall: Bialkowski, McNamara, M. Wallace, Hutchinson, Cooper, J. Wallace, Malone, Saville, Bennett, B. Mitchell, Burey. Subs: Long, Pearce, Mahoney, Ballard, Evans, Briscoe, Lovelace.

They have Oliver Burke on loan from Sheffield United he dropped out injured

Not convinced he's currently a better goal scorer than Stretton, but Wayne is so that's how it goes until Colin is fit.

I agree with you Stretton is the more natural finisher a old fashioned forward who comes alive in the box.

Plange though is better leading the line in our system of one up front and is learning quickly in his hold up play and running the channels. He needs a goal now just to boost him to another level.

I think that said 7 working days after the accord? So mid week for a PB? Not holding my breath but it is now time for the admins to deliver and meet their own timescales.

They said hopefully 7 to 10 days no guarantees though, the EFL have to approve the PB also so best  not get to hopeful.

Free agents don't help understand the embargo, sure the club can sign them as long as the current squad size isn't bigger than efl allowable size which just happens to be almost the minimum amount for a squad.

The next issue is derby can't compete on salaries for those free agents, spend amount on salaries is restricted under the embargo

The next is is that with Derby in its current position, which quality free agents would look derbys way, unless of course the salaries paid were high.

Re your last point Derby may be a attractive proposition 4.5k a week is better than 0 a week. A short 3 month contract puts the player in the shop window and if he preforms well  the chance to pick up a better deal elsewhere next season

  7. Wrong decisions are one of the things over the years that has driven the popularity of the game. Making for many friendships bought about debating the rights and wrongs of it.

Chris Coles raised a theory yesterday that Prem refs dropping to the lower leagues are not making the big decisions because they are used not having too, due to var making them for them. It is a interesting theory to discuss
