Firstly, why should Derby accommodate this?
I’m not sure that something like this is necessary. It’s nothing to do with football, so why are people trying to introduce it en masse?
In the same manner that if someone wanted to do an equivalent for, say, Palestine, I imagine these same people would be suggesting that wasn’t acceptable.
If you want to show your support, wear a poppy.
If you don’t wish to then you don’t have to.
And most importantly, be respectful of each other’s personal views - just because people have a different outlook to you, it doesn’t mean you have to attack them - everything is so polarised nowadays, it’s exhausting.

The match is Derby’s closest home match in advance of Remembrance Sunday, which this year falls on 12th November, while the game itself falls on Armistice Day.
Ahead of kick-off on Saturday, those in attendance will be asked to observe the playing of the Last Post while wreaths will also be laid on the Pride Park pitch in the lead-up to the match getting underway by club officials.
Earlier in the day, a small service will be held by Club Chaplain Tony Luke at 11am at the War Memorial Plaque outside the Lionel Pickering Entrance and supporters are welcome to attend if they wish. This will include a two-minute silence to show respect and gratitude to the armed forces past and present who have lost their lives fighting for their country.
A collection will also be staged both outside and inside the ground should supporters wish to make a donation to the Royal British Legion.
All of Derby’s players will wear poppy armbands for the fixture, as well as members of the coaching staff.
The annual Remembrance Fixture is one of the key dates in the club’s calendar and in 2014 the specially commissioned War Memorial Plaque was erected next to the Lionel Pickering Entrance at Pride Park Stadium.
The Plaque bears the names of six former players of the club who sadly died in the First World War, whilst also remembering the many others with Derby County connections who answered the call to serve King and Country in two World Wars.
As part of the Remembrance activities in 2018, trees were planted at the club’s Moor Farm Training Centre to serve as living legacies to the hundreds of footballers who served and fell in the First World War.
    We Will Remember Them.
But yeah, we all know the real reason.
Football fans can be thick as f*** sometimes.
Editing for clarity, I mean those on twatter who think this is some kind of agenda. The club are doing plenty.
Perhaps allowing everyone to quietly remember and pay respect in their own way is going out of fashion. Maybe I'm just getting old.

And that’s the thing the anti PW brigade conveniently miss. If we steer clear of injuries I get the feeling that a developing Wilson and a fit Ward might just see us being a lot more effective in front of goal when Warne ball might suddenly become a lot more attractive.

It was ace to see there is some potential in the academy.
Weston looked a real prospect, as did Fapetu.

The lad was so positive and so Derby County to the point it made people laugh at times, but that was just him. Unwavering in his love and belief in Derby.
Stark reminder for everyone, none more so than myself, to be a little bit more B4.
    Best wishes to his family.

First and foremost, my thoughts are with Daniel's friends and family, I cannot imagine what they are going through right now.
I heard the news last night and it came as a huge shock, B4 as we knew him so fondly by will be a huge loss to the forum.
He was Mr Positivity, Derby County's biggest cheerleader, even during the bad times his positivity would shine through.
I know his Dad was at the game today with a scarf on his seat, whilst we haven't closed the gap on Portsmouth in Daniel's final rallying call on this forum, I'm sure he will be over the moon with the 3 goals and 3 points today.
DCFC Fans will be honouring Daniel in time to ensure he remains in our memories, we will also be contacting the club in due course to see what can be done during a game.
Suggestions are welcomed as we all come to terms with the loss.
    Rest in peace Daniel. ❤️🐏

I have some very sad news this evening.  Daniel (B4) died earlier this week. He was just 38.
As you know, he has been battling numerous health conditions for a long time, but always remained cheerful  and was the most loyal supporter of his beloved Rams, home and away.
He was at the match at Crewe and gave his full support as always.
Daniel leaves behind a grieving dad, mum and sister. Our thoughts go out to them and we only hope they get a little comfort from knowing how well loved Daniel is by all who know him.
Here are a couple of photos that his dad agreed could be shared. I'm sure many of you have others, as Daniel loved a selfie at the game.
David is hoping to arrange a more fitting tribute in time, but for now please raise a glass in his memory and a good Derby win today. I am sure that's what Daniel would have been doing tonight.

Nice to see Vickers out the obviously
Brown looked to be dropping too deep for his strengths, not sure if it was the role he was being asked to do (suited Weston more) or whether it's a learning curve for him. Will still benifit him
Weston looked interesting, he'll be a sub often enough now I reckon
Confidence for Collo, talk about the level of opposition but that 3rd is beating anyone and the quality of the cross and header for the 2nd would score against league 1 sides, which brings me to...
Kane Wilson going forward was doing what he and Ward were brought in to do in that RB slot, big part of how PW wanted to play and hasn't been able to. That's interesting because Ryan Nyambe has arguably been our most consistent player this season but plays it differently. If you're going to play Wilson /ward to get those crosses in you have to play Collo... Some interesting selection choices going forward
Minutes for Elder, I was excited by his signing so that's brilliant news
Sonny getting a horrible error out at the right time
Good to get some more of the U21s playing along side senior lads, even if it's against another U21s

Did Elder play the full 90 mins? If so I think that’s important. Loads of time for Fozzy, but he’s not been at his best in recent weeks so having an option to rest him/push him for his place could prove important as the fixtures come thick and fast.
