He’s class, I just hope we’re able to tie him down to a longer contract and he keeps his feet on the ground and makes a home here. As others have said, hun and Bielik would be a quality midfield
If he becomes a well appreciated stat here then I think that he will stay.

Will he not be able to spot you by your Conehead then mate? Or is everyone like that in Sheffield?! ?
Coneheads the film is a favourite of mine. It is a film that makes some relevant points.

I think you'd have to factor playing time in somehow, so you don't have a Thorne or Anya still holding value when they're perma-crocked or just not being used. I had any player that doesn't play 30 games in a season immediately drops onto a straight-line amortization, but honestly just pick a number and stick to it.
But beyond that, then as long as it isn't the case of Mel Morris picking his favourite numbers out of a hat, I think it would be fine.
Perma-crocked. Ace phrase. Well done.

It’s too soon to say. The season is four games old and let’s be honest, the spirit of this team hasn’t really been tested.
I could understand posts like this if we had started the season on -6 points and whittled it down.
But as it is, I feel the praise for Rooney and the players is slightly premature. Let’s face it, if we were to lose against Forest, people would suddenly and surely look upon our start to the season much less favourably.
In 10-15 games, let’s see where we are and how we have fared and whether Rooney and the players have stood up to the challenge.
Two home draws and one win from four games is not really a great indicator of that, especially considering we have only faced one team who would be looking up the table instead of down.
No tougher test than Boro as a team. How we may react if losing 3 nil to WBA after 30 minutes will be another kind of test should it happen.

Some tough decisions if we want to rest our first 11 as we haven't got anyone at RB, CB, or the 3 AM roles right now. We're at the point where we may as well play some of the U23s as we're either getting out of embargo and playing them doesn't matter, or we're stuck in embargo and can't sign anyone anyway.
I'm assuming we won't rush Ebosele, Lawrence or McDonald into the side so all miss out.
Allsop
Bardell Stearman Cashin Buchanan
Hutchinson Watson
Sibley Morrison Williams
StrettonSubs: Roos, JBrown, Forsyth, Bird, Shinnie, Borkovic, Baldock
JBrown, LThompson and Borkovic to come off the bench.
This does highlight how punitive this embargo has been. The Blades have two £20 million strikers who cannot score at present.

So good you said it twice ?. I agree although “etc” is a bit vague.
Could not be bothered to list the other names but basically we cannot afford to get any serious contenders for the first team injured in this one. Let's hope the embargo gets lifted this week. COYR

We have a defence that does not run about combined with a hard tacking midfield and some fast forwards. We are not far off a very balanced side.

Think we will get a beating tbh, we will play such a young lineup like the Salford one that even with their poor start unless they don't take it seriously which I doubt, I can't see us getting anything.
Probably should atleast play Jagielka, Davies and Shinnie for some experience and solidity to the side. We have an international break soon so Davies and Jagielka can rest then.
I'm not too bothered about the league Cup but still want us to win and hope we play atleast 3 or 4 first XI players.
Do not risk long term injuries to key players as it will compromise our push for top six later in the season. If we had beaten Posh we would have 8 points and be feeling very upbeat about the new dawn. Getting a point out of Boro in such a game is a serious step forward. We also had a bit if luck which we did not have against Posh. Getting some more hard working, skilful if ageing players in will help our cause.

He was a gamble that not many sides would have taken. We didn't really have too much choice.
I hope he comes good and I'm glad he has started his career well with us. But if he stays fit and features in every game, then before the end of January, we'll become the club he has appeared for the most in his career. He's 28 years old.
I still have some concerns, for example a few days before he signed, posting a story and unfollowing the Club on social media etc. It sounds minor, but I would be worried that he might still fly off the handle like he has with other teams, because we really can't afford any player to do that this season.
However I'll judge him on his performances and conduct for Derby only, and it's so far so good, so right now I'm glad we have a player with the quality of Ravel Morrison.
I am simply going to believe that Wayne and Ravel get on well and that Ravel will enjoy being a fans favourite whilst enjoying his football.

I'll quietly pretend that I didn't say anything, for I am a moron who can't read ?
Do not be so hard on yourself, Brady1993. Just accept the three point penalty and move on. You can of course appeal but it will drag on. lol. You write good posts.

I thought your opinion was, how would we be getting a penalty when we haven't even been charged with owt?
Can we use VAR to see if it was a penalty.

I’m going out with the Blades from work, they are totally despondent.
Will be in the Howard pre match I would imagine,Jagielka header to win it.
Do NOT play Jags, Curtis etc in this game.

Two or three more consecutive defeats and Hughton may be on his way. We can help out on Saturday.

I will definitely agree with you about Jaglielka. I am however still unsure if the recruitment team had remits to sign players that fell within current conditions. Clement seemed to want only other team's players of the season. Rowett wanted a Dad's Army of adequate but looking for a last payday type of player (I think he got lucky with Curtis). Lampard wanted flair but due to his contacts was able to bring in 3 stars in the making. Cocu just had pretty much the same pile of dog muck that Rooney has had to put up with.
There appears to be a marked improvement in their desire to win games and to work hard. This is not a coincidence.

Our present squad and style of play is miles ahead of last season. Of the players that have left us, who would have played in the first eleven on Saturday. Why are we talking about relegation. Mid table is more likely if no more long term injuries occur. We can still have loans.

Venables stopped being a coach 20 years ago. Management has changed incredibly since then.
If Derby County could only sign players who score 25 or more out of 30 they would sign players who score 10 in work rate, 10 in attitude and 5 in skill.Opta statistics have probably made it easier to rate skill levels

I think that among Championship level players, we have already signed Jags who I would rate above 25 even if he is approaching the end of his career

Like all goalkeepers. Roos played better with s good defence in front of him and midfielders also blocking the way to goal.
