Excellent performance today throughout the team and Warner got the tactics and team set up spot on I thought.
Sibley and ward were superb and ward deserved the mom,he looked just like the player we initially thought we were getting.
And for Gayle to score a proper strikers goal with a beautiful header was the icing on the cake.
Another shout out to Bradley who,I thought, was immense today and barely put a foot wrong. To be honest,I much prefer him as captain,it just suits his character.
So a very good turnaround from Tuesday's performance and it was an enjoyable watch...I even had a half decent cheeseburger from outside the ground,so all in all a top day.

Glad you aren't the manager.... as has been said before, if the wing backs are not converted full backs then this is a positive formation as it gives more attacking options......

Yeah, Yeah... 3-0... whoopie doo, and all that... but...
My biggest takeaway from today's game...
Now, this may be a tad off-topic for a matchday thread, and quite possibly even a tad illegal to mention out loud on the internet since the turn of the century... but what's with Ewie?  Is she just a bloke in drag?  What's occurrin' there then?  Why have I never noticed this before?  Why has nobody told me? 🤷‍♂️

    Quick summary of Warne’s radio Derby interview;
Pleased with start annoyed we went away from what had been working, even with second goal wasn’t best pleased so “calmed them down” at half time. Much better second half.
Was asked about wingbacks and praised Sibley and Ward, said we looked to have more bodies in and around the box which was an issue they addressed after the Charlton game.
Specifically asked about Ward he expanded on his contribution today and across the season.
    Mentioned Adams and Gayle’s contributions.
Glad there’s no Tuesday fixture to rest and recover before Saturday’s game.
Asked “How do you keep the calm in run-in?” Said it’s pretty easy, doesn’t worry about the table, sticks to an honest and consistent message, positive culture, mentioned Ramstv put together a video that was showed to the team this week to positively reaffirm the season so far, not getting ahead of themselves/too high or low on the back of a result.
Asked about the video sent to a terminally ill fan he was positive about the club and what it means to the community.

The above is an attempt to objectively capture what was said, my own take on it is that Warne sounded irritated by the performance because of the sloppy period before half time.

    P.G Wodehouse match report.
Ah, what a delightful spectacle unfolded at Pride Park! A veritable symphony of footballing finesse, where the dashing Derby County lads displayed a masterclass in the art of the beautiful game. With a flick of his coiffed locks, Sibbo graced the pitch with his goal-scoring prowess, each strike a testament to his sartorial elegance. And who could overlook the Padel maestro Gayle, whose header soared through the air like a swan taking flight, leaving the poor Port Vale defence in disarray.

But it was not just in attack where the Rams shone; oh no, their defensive acumen was equally sublime. Cashin, a veritable bastion of impregnability, rebuffed his opponents' advances with the ease of a vegetarian plucking a stray caterpillar from his salad.
And let us not forget the spirited Sonny, whose exuberant arm-waving would have put even the most robust of policemen on point duty to shame.
Under the astute guidance of Warne, the tactical maestro with a bobble hat perched jauntily atop his brow, Derby County danced their way to victory, leaving their opponents in awe. And amidst the jubilation, let us extend a hearty commendation to Ebou Adams, whose display on the field was reminiscent of the legendary Mick McManus himself. Truly, it was a day to remember, where the spirit of camaraderie and sporting excellence reigned supreme.

Actually said to my mate after the Charlton game that I haven't felt so disillusioned with Derby since Brown and the 3 amigos season The sight of Holdsworth coming on as a sub like your fat old mate on a sunday morning to ironic cheers was awful so we aren't there yet but lets be honest we are a poor team in a poor league

I enjoyed Kane’s chat earlier, the comments he made about his teammates and nicknames struck me as there is unity within the dressing room and staff, despite suggestions from some posters elsewhere.

Edit. Also like his humility in holding his hands up to the pass into Adams on Tuesday that led to the second.
Interesting to hear him mention the pressure that wobbled FGR when they were pushing for promotion during his time there, it’s one of the things I can’t work out with the current squad and management we have. There is supposedly knowledge and know how within the squad and staff, I know a growing number doubt Warne and have no interest in joining that argument anymore, I personally don’t see it being solely his fault that we’re having this sticky run, just interested in IF he and the players can find a way to get over the mental block to see games out from winning positions and get home in the auto places. 🤞

This is really a must win game  for Warne - another performance like last night could see the crowd turn on him. Think he is a decent guy but sadly out of his depth managing a club the size of Derby with the big expectation of the fans.

Well you'll probably just take the Michael, but anyway.... Agree on Nelson, great signing, also love Wilson and Adams, they bring a bit of energy and excitement. There have been enjoyable games, Oxford away being a noticeable example, what a great night that was and I think everyone who was there would agree. We are still second! We have a great chance of being promoted. Positivity for me also extends to the whole feeling of a match day, spending time with family, and the people you sit with who have become friends, but I guess I'm probably not allowed to count that!

Second in the league , 2 nd highest scorers ? , right up there with least goals conceded , that’s substance , fact , certainly more substance than ,,,,,, I don’t like how we play , I don’t think he’s the right man for us , I don’t like his interviews , I don’t like his hats , his 3 promotions mean nothing ect ect ect
don’t tell me ,,,,, best squad in the division best wage spend ect ect , I suppose by your yardstick city need to sack pep now and bring in somebody who will win the league with that team , not knocking round second and third place as any manager could and should be running away with the league with that squad at his disposal

That was awful last night and more akin to a ping pong game between two blind men than a game of football.
I don't mind being direct,I don't mind constantly knocking it in from the wings but this game had neither and was basically tedious and boring.
A glimmer of hope was Gayle who showed some of those deft touches and lay offs not seen since Martin left...they were pointless however as none of our other players had the nous to actually put themselves in the region of where one of these lovely lay offs might actually be.
Amongst the others,Smith showed promise and looks far more championship than league 1 and Wilson put a shift in as,bizarrely,he was the main recipient of every pass to the wings instead of Mendez who had a very q game.
I'm a fan of warne,I like him and would still have him over the oft referenced manager who never was the manager Rosenior (whose football was equally tedious, just in a different way)but he needs to sort this out sharpish or we will be dropping like a stone before we know it.
Hard to believe we are second but still talking like this,we should be on a high not dreading the next game against port vale....we need a outstanding result there to put the confidence back into the team and the fans.

Nah,mostly those who still haven't let him go,why would the rest of us be interested?
If we want to lament a manager who actually was both our manager and a bloody good one, let's talk about Stevie Mac,not someone who had a very poor record here both as an assistant and as temporary gaffer.

I've seen this comment a lot and it doesn't make sense to me. About as much sense as the folk on social media last night and this morning slating PW for playing a back 3 which was actually a back 4 of Nyambe (Wilson after Nyambe got injured), Nelson, Bradley and Cashin at left back.
Who else was going to play LB in a back 4 with Elder and Foz unavailable?
Made perfect sense to me. Criticise by all means, however, critique without offering an alternative is negativity for negativity's sake.
PW is getting stick for going with the back 4 most fans want. How else would YOU have structured a back 4 last night, one better than the choice he made?
The only alternative for a back 4 would have been Bradley on the bench, Nels and Cash in the middle and Sibley at left back... IMO, the  choice made was the best one.
He could have gone back 3 but that would have seen 90% of the fanbase on his back.
