Agreed, I think that he'd make a cracking CDM, especially when playing 3 at the back, when either the RCB or LCB get pulled out to cover the wing, he would be easily drop into one of the CB positions to cover. Also,he's decent in the air, so you'd fancy him getting to clearances from the opposition goalkeeper rather than the opposing attacking midfielder.

Brighton wouldn't be guaranteed to get him next summer, though. Don't you think that other clubs could be sniffing around then? They could be thinking that get him now, rather than risking losing him next summer.

I'm haven't been Thommo's biggest fan in the past, but he seems to be a different player this season. Today, he was excellent with the energy that we have missed with Knight's departure. He's a different type of player otherwise, with better close control than Knight but doesn't get in the goal scoring positions like Knight, although Knight's goalscoring record from those positions wasn't great.

At least we have one world champion today! 
 

England didn't lose because of the the ref but the ref was poor.
Spain deserved the win, played better, particually in the first half.

The penalty was the correct decision but VAR and the ref to far too long to make the decision, incidently, the penalty should have been retaken because Earps was well off the line when the ball was kicked, thankfully a dodgy decision in our favour.
