  1. Let's hope the mood on the Bolton forum later is:
  2. There's always the what are we (well, the manager) asking them to do side with the older players, NML can still do a job in the championship but I'm not sure we could lean on him the same way we have done in league 1.
  3. I'm pretty sure they'd be hilariously unrealistic about just how they'd do the championship (oh the good players will stay because they love forest, the bad players will be sold for huge profits, everyone will feel privileged to play at the "world famous" city ground " etc etc...
  4. If they stay up they'll no doubt be spending the big bucks on brining back Jessie tiktok.
  5. The perfect revenge on Stephen Mr Gibson Steve......
  6. I'm stuck onsite with a "big rangers man" at the moment. Most amusing moment was the Asian security guard asking him where he's from, and, if he's russian. Couldn't help himself with the "ah, but your in-laws, are they Celtic or rangers....."
  7. I'd forgotten about the toe sucking punch up!
  8. Once (a subset, granted) our fans settle on the team Scape goat some of them are very reluctant to let it go. Gary Teale, Jacob Butterfield, Keogh, and many more before)
  9. It's seems like a case of do Bolton blow it here, rather than are Shrewsbury able to get something, which is probably a bit of a disservice to Shrewsbury. But on the other hand,I can't see Bolton dropping points today, so it's still on us to win our last 2 games.
  10. I think bobble ball is better anyway. And so does Mr. Hat.
  11. Sorry, but bradley's first on saturday isn't there, so i cannot vote vote for any of the options.
  12. Anyone able to devine what the vibes are at Peterborough and Bolton ahead of the midweek games? I'm not hopeful of a Bolton favour but it's sitting on them to do with the game against Shrewsbury.
  13. He's got his bobble hat, in his hands, He's got his bobble hat, in his hands, He's got his bobble hat in his hands, Cos he's having a crafty wan...
  14. "He only played a few minutes, and yet he didn't work hard and avoided tussle," Kim said, according to national newspaper Joongang Daily after the Jeju game, Lingard's third, in which he came off the bench after 58 minutes. "Fame doesn't win football games. If it did, I would have brought in a famous retired player."
  15. As long as everyone has a rollocking good time. ...and spare a thought for the ordinary folks in Cambridge who have to deal with many thousands of the worst people in the world living out their student glory years...
  16. Has everyone got used to the safe standing now? I remember some grumpiness when it started.
  17. I remember that match being "The winter of our discontent now made glorious summer by this son of rotherham....<etc>" and was it then we had the "oh yes the ownership is fully onboard with Paul Warne, he's our guy" stuff?
  18. He was good today but I'm still not in love with him as a player. He hasn't fully deserved the slagging off he's had from some quarters but I'd be fine with us moving him on despite his two goals today. I know he's had good games and but there's something about feeling secure with the defenders the Neson and Cashin and Fozz have in spades, it might get there with him, but it's still nagging me.
  19. Man United have taken the Spurs crown of being the team that underperforms come what may.
  20. He also threw in a warne-ism about handing back his car keys if he hadn't, which i took to be tounge in cheek.
  21. Do Bolton have a disappointing draw in them still? You have to wonder if there's a bit of the Bolton psyche that says today was the day if they were going to do it, and not winning portsmouth taks the wind out of them, the comments in the match thread suggest that Bolton gave it everything today.
  22. I know the goals came from corners, but we crested some very good chances in open play, and apart from a period in the second half we pretty much dominated the game and 3-0 reflects that. No complacancy, just 2 games more like that and no more room for Northampton and wycombe chuck it in performances.
