ramit reacted to Angry Ram in Derby really need dig in
The players are rarely the managers.. Rare for a manager to stay around long enough..

ramit reacted to Gaspode in Rooney in or out poll (again)
If he does stay he needs to have a good look at the coaching staff - seems he either doesn't trust them or they're simply not very good....I'm sure Shay Given is a nice bloke, but the keepers and defence don't show any progress at all; does Rosenior contribute anything other than his 'huge knowledge' of Championship players? Seems to me that a clear-out is needed - Wayne needs his own people that can work in harmony to move us forward....
As an aside, I thought it was interesting seeing the interview with JFH at Burton - he has someone managing recruitment that he trusts to get on with the job - the bloke has a remit to produce two plans - one for League One and one for LeagueTwo and Jimmy is leaving him to it...I wonder if we've got anything in place if the worst happens? or are those in charge are so convinced we'll be fine that there be a huge panic when the almost inevitable is confirmed?....

We don't by need to catch Coventry, simply stay ahead of Rotherham. That's all there is to it☹️

General purpose british midfielder.
You can see why Lampard and Jodi thought "free transfer replacment for Bryson, yeah snap him up" - Probably not the player Cocu would've chosen but still forced his way in. Wholehearted and hasn't been phoning it in all season.
If we go down he's one I'd regard as being must keep for League 1. If we stay up, he's one I'd be happy to keep whilst other more skilled players are moved on.

It always seems odd to me that I regularly have end up defending him from our own fans.
Is he a world beater..no
But he’s a very useful championship midfielder and one of top performers this season who has a lot of the attributes our more talented players seem to lack.

No you're not included. Realism is exactly what's needed in our current predicamentt, neither extreme view (non-stop moaners or happy clappers) helps.....
I was following the Rams round the country the last time we were in the third tier so I've been through the bad times (however enjoyable the actual days out were) but there are a significant number on this board (and amongst the wider group of supporters) who seem far happier when things go wrong and their views are proven right than when things go well for the club. I would question whether they consider themselves 'true Rams fans' - because if they do, they're doing it wrong.....

ramit reacted to England Ram in If we went to league 1 who would you want to sign?
People are deluded to think we’d have any money to spend on any half decent players if we go down.

I'm sorry but why make this thread. We still have a real chance of staying up. Too many on here acting as if we're already down. You have to believe we can get the points required.

It is worrying but I don't care at this point, we just need to stay in this division. Even if it's by 1 better goal difference it doesn't matter. We can't go down.

Last night was hard to stomach but I've woken this morning with a whiff of positivity.
This is still very much game on; Rotherham have it all to do and we still have four games to make this happen.
Me may be down but certainly not out.

I got a free ticket to see Simple Minds 19 years ago. Still felt robbed.
Dreadful.

ramit reacted to angieram in Would a spell in League One actually be a good thing?
That's a bit of a generalisation given some of us have been following the club for 46 years (approximately!) 😂

Financially no, but as a fan it’s were I started and not bothered to be there again, why not. I’ll support this club whatever league they are in, I’m a Derby fan and always will be whatever the opposition. Come on you ducking Rams, always and forever 🐏🥰

ramit reacted to hintonsboots in Match Thread - Blackburn Rovers v Derby County - Friday 16th April, 6pm
Our remaining 4 fixtures are all winnable, especially as we are now creating chances. It’s a very difficult situation we are in , but I trust Rooney and the players to keep us up.

This is the most depressing post of the night.
All season I have relied on you to be positive and the voice of reason. And now this.
Please keep going. This forum, nay, this club needs you.

It's not looking very good, but nothing is over until it's over, we are not relegated yet and those who say so have IMO a losing attitude which i hope is not shared by too many of our players.
Rooney may not be up to Championship management yet, but he has a temperament and i don't see him going down without a fight.
